I am trying to work out my honeymoon but as we are leaving our kids with family we only want to fly a few hours but we want a hotel that makes us feel like we are in the Caribbean etc. anyone help?

We are going to St Malo, which is in Brittany, short flight and beautiful place. We went there on holiday 2 years ago and decided we would go there on Honeymoon. What about Jersey or Guernsey, flights not to bad and the weather is usually good?

Have you considered the rock of Gibralter?
I used to live here when i was younger, the rock itself is tiny you can walk from one side to the other and not even take up a day but its beatuitful. You go up the rock and the monkeys are sure to say hello (remember one of them nicking my crisps out of my hand lol). The hotels are gorjus and you can see the blue sea all around with sun in your face what more do you need :-) Also spain is right across the border in walking distance or you could hire a car and take day trips to acqua park or their theme park (cant remember the name but will find out if your interested).
I have to admit we were looking for somewhere close to home because of the kids and completely forgot about gibralter till my mum mentioned it lol been looking into it and there are some good deals out there :-)

Taba in Egypt is lovely! 5hr flight 30min bus ride of death though haha no not bad jusr sheer drops glad we arrived in the dark got a shock on the way back, we stayed at the marriott hotel

canary islands are always quite hot as they are just off the coast of Africa. Takes 4 hours from Norwich not sure where you are tho xx

Cape Verde, its off the coast of Africa, flight time is roughly the same as tenerife (give take time) weater supposed to be like caribbean x

How about Sicily or Sardinia - both beautiful places and warm out of the normal holiday season i.e. May and September but hot in summer too...or Paphos in Cyprus? I know great locations and hotels in all places so let me know if you need any recommendations!! We are planning on going to Sicily (again!) for our honeymoon.

Check out Santorini in Greece..or Paxos and Parga...breathtakingly STUNNING. Get yourself a cute villa to stay in with your own private pool *heaven*

Oooh yes, I went to Sardinia for my birthday and it was really lovely. The hotels are quite expensive there so my tip would be to look for an apartment near the beach instead. That's what we did and it was lovely! If you do go let me know and I will send you a link to an amazing boat trip we did on my birthday x

Malta isn't that far and is hot all year long. That's where we're planning to go - and you can get some great deals, especially all inclusive.

My bro went there for his honeymoon and they really loved it - I can defo see the appeal in the shorter flight-more time to relax thing.
