Hi everyone, unfortunatly i dont have the luxury of having a babysitter for my kids so they will be coming with us on honeymoon, we will save luxury holidays for when they are grown up :-)
Anyone who has already or will be taking their kids with them on their honeymoon know of any good destinations that are stunning, not too long a plane journey and still have lots for kids to do, im hoping we can find a hotel with a kids club so we can get at least 1 night by our selves. Thanks xx

What about Italy? They are very family friendly there, and it's meant to be very beautiful. Or Croatia, lots to do and some beautiful hotels.

why don't you do disney land? it's not just for kids espically if you like rides. if the kids are happy (and entertained) you'll have a good honeymoon :)

Italy is one of the most kids friendly country and so is Croatia - both great choices. I am from Austria and spent most of my childhood holidaying in both countries - both are THE family destinations.

depending on how much you're wanting to spend (but look out for some good discount vouchers) have you seen kinder hotels. There's a few of them around italy/austria etc. They look fab, they've got tonnes of stuff for kids, and pamper spas for the parents! When you book you basically get so many hours worth of free childcare and it's up to you when you use it. There's stuff for magic and wizard schools, or they have the child minders on an evening that will look after the kids in your chalet whilst you go out/have meals etc.
Somebody recommended it to us and we've sent off for a brochure. I only know one person that's been and they had a fab time, the kids cried buckets when they had to come home lol x

Portaventura is a brill place, when me and h2b went we stayed at 1 of the park's hotels and there seemed to be loads for the kids to do. and you got your entry to the park included in the hotel price. xx

ClareE I will keep this in mind for the future - not so much honeymoon but holidays in general. Those kinder hotels always sound like paradise and there are quite a few in Austria - my parents could never go because they used to be flippin' expensive. But I keep forgetting that you can book package deals from here - holidaying in Austria as an Austrian is - bizarrely - much more expensive then booking deals from a different country.

My recommendation would probably be Majorca as they have a fantastic water park, sea life attraction, boat rides, and very safe beaches. You can get some really great deals, especially if you are saving for a florida holiday a year or so later.

We're hoping to go, but don't think it'll be this year with the wedding, so may end up going next year. h2b has been to Austria before but was only a brief visit and said he wants to go back and I've never been so this place sounds ideal :) very strange that you should get charged more for holidaying in your own country! :( mind you that happens here. Sometime we can go abroad for a holiday much cheaper than staying here. x

Yeah was recommended to us as we only have my little lad and although we try and do fun stuff with him, i think sometimes he just needs to be around other kids. I can't wait to go lol but will be looking around for deals :) x
