I'm in somerset! Misomer Norton ;) we getting married at our local parish church st.johns, its lovely :) n then celebrations at The Court hotel in Chilcompton just 10 mins away, cosy little hotel, the staff there are so nice :) any plans in place for urs girls? oh yes n i have ordered my dress from Solitaire Brides in town im in love wit it! xxx
calla lily i dont know of any wedding dress shops in taunton but there is 1 in yeovil where i got my dress from and the woman who owns the shop is fanastic!! and if you do the whole wedding with them cause her husband runs the shop across the road that does mens suits you get loads of discount! but the wedding dresses are gorgeous! all italian.. and all different price ranges too! its called karen bakers. just thought i'd mention it.. cause all other info i have is crap lol =[ anybody else been to a dress shop and been treated like you shouldnt be there? i did in wedding dress shop called ABC and the condition of the dresses was terrible.. wow i could talk for britain lol

I went to ABC and altho the lady was lovely and I tried on about 20 dresses I still felt quite pressured I had told her my budget but she kept bringing down more expensive dresses...still I got to see which style I liked and have now ordered online lol xx

i went in ABC at first and she really pressured me and said you have to order in the next few days i was like =O i dont even know what style i want. so i went somewhere else. i wasnt pleased about getting pressured and she didnt even help me try them on or anything. in karen bakers she will make an appointment so the 2 of you can look through books choose what style try on different ones etc. its lovely to be taken care of like that =]

Will have to have a look in Karen Bakers next time I'm working in Yeovil, sounds good, been in 2 bridal shops in Taunton, Champagne & Strawberries (very relaxed, not pushy, happy to let you browse and not be in your face) and Frox - not very impressed, woman went on about my weight - touchy subject, lost nearly 2 stone with 2 to go before I get married and was feeling very pleased with myself until she started going on about needing a much larger dress - (I'm a size 14 btw) only in there looking at bridesmaids dresses! Put me off going in there again!
We are getting married at the registry office in Taunton (lovely building, so glad theyve changed where it is, had a look inside a few weeks ago and nearly cried, it was so lovely!) and then a reception at Taunton Vale Golf Club.

ooo lalabunni thats really cool! i love it in there its so relaxed and your made to feel so welcome! calla lily that sounds so nice! some people can be so rude its a wonder how they get business if they treat their customers like that! hope everyone is doing well!! =] x

I am getting married in Somerset!! Queen Camel church (St Barnabus) and then a marquee on his uncle's land. Hoepfully - the date has been pencilled in but we havent met the vicar yet to go through it properly
We are going down next week and have to pop to Yeovil to get a suit fitted for Mike's cousin's wedding so am v tempted to have a look in Karen Baker's now! Thanks girls!!!
