Was just wondering if anyone is having their engagement ring cleaned or have had it cleaned? Anyone know of prices etc?
Have been looking at wedding rings recently and noticed how grubby my ring has got after a year, have given it a clean with brandy today and can't believe the difference it has made.

I am getting mine cleaned as it looks quite dull next to my wedding ring after wearing it for over 2 years, my jewellers do it free of charge life long

mine is currently away getting fixed as had it less than a year and a stone has fallen out already, and as its within a year they're redipping it for free so it'll all be nice and shiney hopefully :)

I will be having mine cleaned, My jewellers do it free of charge for 10 years, But you can buy cleaning fluid for around £10 x

I had a full service done on mine. Tiffany's recommended it and it was free as it was my first one. They took out all the stones from the settings and gave it a deep clean and then replaced all the stones again. It was beautiful and it really did sparkle beautifully in the pictures. x

I will be having mine cleaned as it looks a little grubby in places and I can't get in those gaps with a toothbrush.
Little kettle did they have to replace the claws? H2b has said he will buy me a new engagement ring when we have more money as we were skint when he proposed. I found a beautiful sapphire ring from a high street jewellers on the net then went into store to see it and it was a black sapphire not beautiful blue like it was on the net. I have a midnight sapphire hanging around at home from a carribean cruise which is the same size so asked how much to swap and she said a lot as they would have to replace the claws.

I am having mine done and its going to cost £30. I don't mind too much but I'm going to try and get it free for when I buy the wedding rings as were not getting the wedding ring from the same place he got my engagement ring from.

it looks like mine is going to need to be resized before the wedding. its already at least one size 2 big and soon i wont be able to wear it as will be to loose I'm hoping the place I'm getting my wedding ring from will do it for me and will get it cleaned at the same time xx

i'll be getting mine cleaned and re dipped as i haven't had it done for about 2 years now and its only just dis colouring it will really sparkle when i get it back it always does :-)

Where would you recommend? The place where you got engagement ring from or where you are buying wedding rings?
I only wiped mine over with some brandy and hot water on stone, and its really made a difference, I had forgotten what lovely colour there is in the stone.

Mine's white gold so I shall be getting it replated nearer the wedding! (apparently the dont clean white gold they replate it as I was told by a very snotty h s women who I WONT be going back to tut) Think she said it would be about £30

I will be getting mine done for sure, in my place of work my ring gets a bit of a knock about. Want it looking nice and pretty for the photos :)
