So I'm eager to know if anyone has had a wedding with no guests?
I'm getting married at Gretna and they are providing my witnesses.
Do you wish you had someone their or maybe you wished you never bothered having any guests?
Either way tell me your thought, opinions and experiences x

I can only speak from my friend's point of view, as she Planned an elopement in Mexico with her partner, but after family kicked up a fuss about it, she changed it to Italy with 14 guests. The next day I asked her if she wished she could have still done it in Mexico, and she said no.
She said that the logistics of the day were all over the place, and said that the more they thought about it, the less like a wedding it seemed. They would have got married, then had photos taken by themselves, then sat at a table for two for dinner with no one but each other to share the day with, and then they wouldn't be hiring any entertainment for the evening, so they would have to find somewhere to go that she didn't feel out of place wearing her dress to, etc!
She also said, that when she was getting ready, she was stressing out about her hair, and her timings, and the time that her photographer was due there, etc, and her MOH and her other best friend really helped her de-stress, and they shared some Prosecco and memories and had a little cry and stuff, and she said that she looks back and thinks that she couldn't imahine getting Married without their help. And seeing her Mum and Dad crying when she walked down the aisle made everything that bit more special for her.

I'm not trying to put you off, as I'm sure that you have different ideas from what you want from your Wedding day, as we all do, but maybe these things are worth thinking about. Especially considering how much it may hurt close family and friends to not be invited to share your day with you. Xx

Well then if you are happy with just you and H2B then you should just do it! If you get Married and decide that actually you would like a little party to celebrate, you can always do that too, like what people do when they get Married abroad and the others can't make it?
If you haven't got anyone you consider to be family or close friends then I guess that will suit you down to the ground, and you should maybe look into ways of making it the best time ever!
Maybe do it over the course of a weekend and book a really plush hotel, and plan something fun for the next evening and book an amazing honeymoon with all the money that you would have saved!
    Good luck! X

It'll be just us two as we are going abroad. Nearly everyone I have spoke to says they wish they could have do what we are doing to avoid stress, family arguments etc. My Dad would have come but as he is saving for his own wedding that puts the stop on that. However we will be having a party when we get back, and there is live streaming of the ceremony so people can watch. My Mum was a bit gutted she couldn't come - but then she was the one that pushed us to go away in the first place! She's happy for us though, and to be honest we would have to compromise on our wedding package if we wanted guests. The wedding and honeymoon is about us and we are doing what we want to do, I think we would regret not doing so if we got married in the UK.
If you honestly feel you do not have anyone close you want to invite then fine, its your day, and if that it what suits you then go for it.
