I've had a good read through the Forum and cant seem to find anything from anyone who got married (or is getting married) in Portugal. Surely I'm not the only one?! If there's anyone out there who would like to share then please do, I'm feeling very lonely! X

Hi Melody, thanks for replying at least now I know it's possible! Do you mind me asking where it happened etc? X

Your welcome hun
It is very much possible! They got married in Lagos a hotel called Vivenda Miranda. It was over looking the sea and beach, absolutely stunning and the food and staff were amazing. We stayed in Playa De Luz in a 10 bed villa with pool etc for a week and it worked out £100 a person once we split the costs and flights were £47 return!
xx

I got married in Elland which is a lot like Portugal.. except....well it's got no sun...or sand..or quaint whitewashed houses..or Portuguese speaking people....oh my god!!!!! it's nothing at all like portugal!!! I am gutted now.lmao Lucky you if you do get married in the sunshine xxxxx
Sounds & looks lovely (i googled it!) i've been onto my wedding planner again today to try and get things moving a bit quicker. We're only having a small wedding so a Villa with caterers is what we're aiming for. Ricky...there's nothing up with Elland! i'm sure you had an amazing day?! X

Hi MrsDuf2be,
I'm a lancashire lass and we are planning to get married in Portugal (do i get a prize for being both LOL)! We are hoping to get married at the Duna Beach resort, it's a restaurant on the beach and is affiliated with Tivoli Lagos. I'm trying to keep the costs down as much as possible too but it does seem to spiral. I'm currently looking into what we need to do regarding registering at our local council but if you want to chat about Portugal or living in lancashire I'm more than happy to do so xx

The Tivoli is lush. I've just come back from a 3 week hol in lagos and it really is a lovely place. My dad lives in Lagos, lucky man. Xx

Oooh fab, any tips on places to visit while there? Are the beaches nice? We have never been but seen photos and it is the furthest place my Mum will fly to!

I'm sorry i didn't get back to you sooner, the beaches there are gorgeous. Meia praia is 5 km long with lush sand and a clear sea. The beaches are super clean. You are so lucky to be getting married there. I miss it i want to go back.
