It has been mentionned a couple of times today so I was wondering if anyone is considering changing some of their choices based on what they have seen at the Royal wedding? .... such as hymns, dress, trees in your venue? Either deciding not to have something or choosing something they saw today?

I am thinking about using Rowan trees now either during the ceremony instead of flowers or during the reception as table planners.

I was surprised to discover they'd used amateur flower arrangers for the Westminster Abbey arrangements, but reassures me that I've made the right choice by doing the same.

Only bit I saw was them leaving in the car, and we don't drive so no worries there :P

I didn't like her first dress at all, and in the pics I've seen (thanks again facebook ¬.¬) the dress she's wearing for the evening just shows how incredibly thin she's gotten. Loved her sister's dress though, in fact from what I've seen the general consensus is that her sister's dress is the favourite.

We're having one of the hymns they had, but I had picked that before I knew they were doing it!

I love her veil and would like to see if I can get something similar as it will go beautifully with my dress, but I'm not going to spend loads on it.

She does look terribly thin. I can sort of understand why she's lost so much weight. How stressful must it be knowing that all those thousands of cameras are on you? Hopefully she'll gain a little bit back on honeymoon.

I'm planning to have a full cathedral veil, but her shorter veil did look lovely. I wonder if I should compromise length for having silk tulle instead of nylon.

Oh definitely, I understand why she's gotten that way, just feel very sorry for her. Hopefully now the big event is over they can have normal lives... I just really hope all those pregnancy rumours are as false as they seem else they'll never get any peace! She looked lovely today but when you look at pics of her on their engagement and compare them to today she looks almost unhealthy now.

Hopefully she'll gain some indeed! She's going to be a role model for millions of little girls and it'd be awful if she ended up being just another lollipop!

Apparently the Mori Lee designer has already made a copy of the dress, but from the pic I saw on fb, it's a poor imitation - the top half looks right, but the skirt part really doesn't......

The lace on the Mori Lee version looks quite cheap in comparison to the real thing. I'm a bit of a sucker for fabrics.

I suspect they'll be trying for a baby as soon as possible, so she'll have to put a bit of weight on. If she's that thin she might struggle to conceive.

I don't know if there's huge difference in look, but I'm a sucker for silk. I'm going to have a look at them in person if I can before I decide. If I can have silk then I probably will. I'm vainly hoping that I can get my dressmaker to make my veil and then my grandma might cover the cost.

I'd love to have a trousseau that can be passed down to the next generation.

No definately not, thought Kates dress was lovely but thought her sisters was gorgeous, Couldnt believe how much weight Kate had lost too, She didnt need to lose anything, but stress and the sort of pressure she is under doesnt help. If i had lost that sort of weight well I would be very happy for sure. : )

I decided on my nature theme well before they were engaged so was miffed to see the trees as that's what I'm having, don't want people to think I'm copying! They didn't have anything else similar to what I have in mind though. Just want to add it really was a gorgeous day and she looked stunning. x

I agree fully about the dress Ataraxia - I didn't like it. It was very conformist to the royal way.
And I definitely think she doesn't look good being that thin now - she definitely looked better before.
Oh and to answer the original question lol - no, we won't be changing a thing. Our wedding is personal to us and is perfect just the way it is.

I thought their wedding was beautiful, but our wedding will be exactly that, ours. So no, we won't be changing anything. I loved her dress, I think it was a beautiful choice, very Grace Kelly-esque with a victorian twist. She could have chosen anything, she could have tried to out-do Diana and have a 30ft train, but she kept it very elegant and I really admire that. :) Xxx

Not really, although I'm giving some serious thought to having live music, perhaps a string quartet, during the ceremony and drinks reception.

Some of it was things I'd planned anyway eg I want a lace dress, but with short sleeves or capped sleeves, not full straps, I want my hair half up half down, and if I go for a beil, it will be exactly like hers: very simple and not too long.

Love her dress and thought she looked beautiful, but it wasn't very me.

nope I am glad theres little similarity as I dont want the comparison and ppl thinking 'oh look who shes copying' as I know what kmy family are like. I loved the dress but am more than happy with mine and think that although i loved it, the lace would get on my nerves and mum wasnt 100% fussed so if i changed that would play on my mind. Although they used dear flowers I dont think they did as well on the flowers as they could have done and I found the floral arrangements boring. I would like their carriage but there is no point in me doing that. I am 100% happy with my choices now and I dont feel it conducive to copy someone else. It is about h2b and my personalities and tastes and that is exactly what our wedding will show. She did look beautiful though but not as pretty as she has looked as her face looked drawn and tired.... too skinny now through the stresses. Defo not a good look and I dont want to see her lose that timeless beauty. Hopefully now the stress is slightly releived she can find time to eat again.

i liked the fact her train was short. I dont see the point in having the really long trains and it kept with the simple and elegant style of the dress. It was gorgeous and glad she didnt go with emmanuelle. I saw the deign they would have done for her and they clearly did not learn the lesson with diana with those large sleeves. Catherines sleeves were perfect. A very good job done yesterday. Amazing dress. Would have liked a longer veil though to touch the bottom of the dress.

No not a chance!!!!! I was disapointed with the dress I was hoping it would be iconic of the 21st century the was Diana's was iconic of the 80s and unique to kate. I've seen dresses like that by loads of designers in their older collections from a few years ago though so there will be loads of those dresses on sale soon they'll just dust off the old designs.

I'm still having bacon and sausage sarnies though just not at 5 am (I hope Kate stayed up long enough to get one down her neck).

I was in two minds about having a string quartet but the music really made the ceremony so I am def having them now. I have also decided on getting everyone to sing during the ceremony as it is at the hotel we can't have hymns but I am going to get people to sing the corus of the beatles all you need is love played by the string quartet
