Hello all, I've decided now that my SIL2B and her bratty child kicked off about none of the BM dresses fitting her the other week at the bridal shop, I'd go down the route of having them made.
Basically she's 10 and hasn't got a womans figure so I can't get a womens dress to fit without paying through the nose for alterations, and the teen dresses only go up to age 16 ( she's in age 14 now ) and we have until next July for her to grow, so I doubt she will fit in age 16 by then.
My question is to anyone having their dresses made, how much are you paying?
How far in advance are you getting them made?

I only want a basic 3/4 length with no sleeves and a sash style or even empire line style. I am getting ideas off the net and printing them out and will say these are the dresses I like ... choose one! OR she will try dictating what SHE wants, and I've had enough of that already! :/

Any help or advice would be great girls ... Thank you xxx

I'm gettin mine made through a company in Liverpool. Average dress is £50-60 and they do them from children to adults so you can have them made to measure. I have a link for them on my wall. They are called style notes. They also do matching shawls, bags, jackets. I've seen a nice evening gown I like so I might order that for me to see how good they are before I order the rest of the dresses but I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that they also send out a sample to show you of their work.

I'm getting mine made by my friend who is a professional dressmaker. We found a pattern which is perfect for both my 10 year olds! They have opted for strapless dresses that come just below the knee. The fabric is gorgeous too :) it cost me £50 for all the fabric & pattern to give you a guide and then obviously I would've had to pay to get them made but my friend is doing it as her gift which is amazing. I'll put pics up once they are done but won't be til October. xx

Im having mine made, i've got 4 adult full length dresses for £86 each, I was really pleased with that as they will be made to measure, especially as my H2Bs sister is due to have her baby 6 weeks before the wedding, saves any stressing with sizes etc!!!!

I've got my 3 BM dresses on order through Giovanna Couture- think they are based in Lincoln/Newark but are online too. I've gone for shorter length dresses in a pistachio taffeta- £70 each- will be ready around November/Dec, which suits my obsessive organisation just fine!Took a while to find one to suit all 3 of my BM's- one tall, one in the US and one is a size 6- stumbled across them by mistake online one night.
