Yeah I am, we managed to get 10% off which isn't loads but its a bargain price anyway. I actually liked the idea tbh, a lot of us are going to go down on the saturday, have nice meal on the sat night and wake up all together on the sunday. So for me it's like a wedding weekend!

I'm the Saturday a week after yours... Thought about bank holiday weekend, but I was worried about traffic and accomodation for our long distance guests, opted for the 3rd Sep 2011. Well done on making a saving though, every little helps

We are booked to get hitched on a Sunday. Its £1,500 cheaper at the venue and its on 09/10/11... A date Stu will never forget :0) I was told that if we had the Fri or the Sat it would be much much more. The Venue told us had to be a minimum of 100 for the ceremony/breakfast on a Fri or Sat but as on a Sunday we can have our 70/75 :0) Blooming should do at £87 a head... Kxxxx

were on a saturday, our church gets overloaded with christenings on sundays and also, we didnt want people having to book anytime off work....wish I had now! lol. I think there is defintely a benefit of having a Sunday wedding.

We're getting married on Sunday 24th July 2011 :) It's not costing us any less, but then it's a mainly DIY weddding. Chose the date because it's our anniversary, we couldn't do it this year and we didn't want to wait until 2012, so we plumbed for a Sunday shindig :D xxx
It's right what they say
"The course of true love never runs smoothly"
But if it had been easy then we wouldn't love each other as
much as we do right now - 1 week to go :D

we are getting married on Sunday 26th September this year
ironically the venue was cheaper but the registrar was a lot more expensive

CommentAuthorKarlie1976
No, unfortunately/fortunately not. H2B is not keen. So we have opted for a venue in Welwyn. Stevenage dosnt have much to offer and didnt fancy Shuttleworth as nowhere for peeps to stay. Do you live there too? Kxx

The Registrar is £30 more for a Sunday than a Fri or Sat! lol! Odd isnt it... Suppose its a day of rest normally... Kx

Jeez, thats unreal, and for a Sunday.... My god... and if you are having your ceremony somewhere other than a Registry Office you cant go to another Registrar can you? Kxx
