Hi, im from stockport, im just starting out trying to do my research on venues ect... are any of you ladies from stockport or the northwest that could give me some help on some cheap venues, etc... as i have a small budget. thanks.

hi hun, i'm from Rochdale so not to far. Firstly work out what type of budget and ceremony i.e church/civil. Ours was a little budget to, we had our reception at our local cricket club, great size venue and great price/food. Try looking at places like that, or rugby/football grounds.

I'm in Stockport hun :D there are quite a few places dependant on your budget and choice of church or civil ceremony ? Another lady on here got married in july at the town hall and she had a fantastic day with some brilliant pictures and a good price. I'm sure there was a thread too so I'll have a mooch and bump it up for you Also if you use the search bar at the top , there are about 5 Stockport related threads, some about dresses and transport - might be worth a look

im in chorley....getting married in 2014 but already got church, venue and cake booked ....we having a our local club for the venue...and its even across from the church we are getting married in......because we have booked it so soon we have got it at this years price too....bonus!!!!!!

I've more or less made all my initial decisions now, the only thing i haven't made a decision on is a photographer, because i want my h2b to be involved with that.
I'm getting married in Sept 2014 having a church wedding and a big reception :)

I'm from Liverpool but live in Bristol, wedding etc is in Liverpool though - Ocean if you want suggestions for a photographer there's a link on my wall to ours, we had a pre-wedding photoshoot on Sunday (free with the wedding package) and we're really pleased - we met 5 photographers in total and knew instantly we were going to pick this one as we liked his style of photography and personality :-)

Were getting married in St michael and all angels Church in Altcar (near formby) and were looking at HMS Eaglet in town (liverpool) as a venue but not 100% sure yet x

Lilmisschuckles - we're using HMS Eaglet as our venue :) H2B is in the RNR so its an ideal place. Ceremony is in St Georges Hall.

Yeh I know the church lottie, I always look at it when I'm passing and think its a cute little church! We r getting married at the holiday inn in Bolton, sounds cheap & nasty but the hotel has been attached to an old church on the back, it took my breath away when i first walked in and booked it there and then lol! I thought I had put pics in my album but just put them in the "show off your venue" link and not in my album! xx
