We've chosen The Reid Rooms in Margaret Roding, have a look online. There are some lovely ones around, just depends on your budget and what kind of thing you are looking for. Let me know what you're after and I'll see if I can recommend anywhere :) x

HI i'm from the chelmsford area we are having our reception at The Warren Golf and Country Club and getting married in a local Church seen some lovely venues such as The Fennes in Braintree, Parklands and Braxted Park just depends on what kind of wedding you want and budget x

We looked at Parklands and didnt like it! I thought the house was lovely but I couldnt justify spending the amount of money they wanted. We're not on a tight budget, but that was extortionate in my opinion! It was lovely and I'm sure a wedding there would be beautiful, but the cost put us off.x

Thats what put us off of Braxted Park the price was just ridiculous our quote for that came out at about £28K thats alot of money for one day in my opinion! That doesnt include dresses, suits, flowers ect Dont get me wrong the catering there is amazing but I actually nearly fell off my chair when they told me how much it was going to be! Did you look at many venues before deciding? x

Only a few, 5 i think. We went to look at The Reid Rooms and knew from then on that that was the venue we were going to chose but we kept the parents happy by looking at others :) Its a lot more personal than the big grand ones. Although, Gosfield Hall is amazing!xx

2 most recent weddings we've been to locally were Newlands Hall and Vaulty Manor.
Much preferred Newlands Hall to Vaulty Manor but think that was more the atmosphere of the weddings etc
Both beautiful locations though
