i have never actually been to a 'proper' wedding before, my eldest brother got married when i was 13 but it wasnt you traditional wedding they got married in a chapel in cyprus and then they went back to there hotel to sunbathe! so we were left standing around wondering what to do. so my wedding next month will be the actual only wedding i have been to! lol i have been to a couple of nite doos when i was younger but never for the whole day. anyone else the same?

Weve got one of them too! i was like whats one of them? (had am image of a big bold man in a red suit for some reason! haha) was slightly let down when i found out it was just a normal person in a normal smart outfit! proof i know nothing....and have a slightly ott imagination haha! X
some places have them in like circus master outfits but mostly they just wear a suit and tie with a badge. I've only been to one proper wedding and that was 3 years ago and it was OH's brother's wedding so thankfully i have some idea of what to do now but the hotel told me all the things we need to do and asked us what time they wanted to do them so i feel confident i know what i'm doing (Sort of)

Ive been to 4 weddings in the past 2 years, equal split between day and night do invites. And I have another wedding tomorrow...
all of them were completely different, different venues/budgets/colours etc and all of them told me one thing - that I refused to have a sit down meal or be served just a cold buffet (hot choice all the way!!) I didnt like the formality of it.
So Im glad I went to other weddings it gave me an inlking of how I'd like mine to be one day

I'm off to my first full day one next week. I'm looking forward to it as I would like to get a feel for them.
Of course, all weddings are different and you shouldn't get too caught up in doing the 'done thing'. Xx

I've never been to a wedding either. But we've got 3 next year including our own.
