well ive got just over 3 months till the big day, needless to say I am like a headless chicken, booking this, paying for that and I really thought your mum was supposed to like take over? interfere?? lol, not my mum!! she never asks how the plans are going, when i bring it up she is blatantly diss-interested and acts as if I am actually annoying her!! we are very close which makes this harder, I just dont get it?! she adores my h2b etc why is she being like this? I honestly have planned this whole flipping wedding on my own, my MOH has sorted the hen night etc.. I havent actually asked my mum for help, its not that I actually need help, Id just like her to show a bit of interest :( sorry gals moan moan xxx

mines the same hun which is annoying she lives in my house (was supposed to be a short term thing) then i ended up with my sister living with me n her bf coz they have a voltile relationship sis got pregnant so mums all for my sis constantly sorting their arguments out...i showed her my dress the other night a literally got "thats nice" then off she went to sort the latest argument...wow mum thanks two words.........big hugs to u lulu xxx

i think if you got her in to it like getting her shopping with you for stuff she might get in to it? has she got her out fit yet? if you took her shopping for her it might seem a littl more real. I think my mum is into it because i need her to come see things with me and organise things she does get a little bored sometimes because as she says its over a year away! lol x x x

Maybe your mum is making a concerted effort not to show much of an interest so she doesn't get carried away or accused of interfering?? Who knows what goes on inside the heads of our mothers, mine isn't even coming to my wedding (religious reasons), but won't come to the reception either, so my dad won't be giving me away, the day will be very strange, lol. xx Maybe just sit her down if you get a chance with all your running around and tell her how you feel, it can only get better!! x

I have the same problem, we went dress shopping and i was trying on dresses and all she did was text ppl!!!
I was horrified, the shop owner was just looking at her and all she could say was thats nice, that fits well, then put her head back in her phone!!!! I was gutted.
Shes been to see the venue with us but didnt really care, it feels so cold as shes my mother and I really thought there would have been more warmth from her xx

Mine is the exact same she was given a years notice and then said it was sprung on her with no warning and because she was already going to her friends daughters wedding this year she wanted me to put mine off as she couldn't afford to go to two. When i tryt elling her anything she just blanks it out and then has the nerve to tell me that i tell her nothing. The hotel is a 40min drive from her house and she hasn't even bothered to go down and see it. Told her we were getting our rings and she said she has more important things going on. I just don't tell her anything anymore its easier that way. x x x x

I know hun and my brother didnt even asked me to be bridesmaid, i know it may sound a little selfish but I only have one brother and no sisters so I always thought if ever I was going to be a bridesmaid it would be then!!
But its ok as I had the last laugh!! Im a MOH for someone next year and she allready had my dress and said it would be ok for me to wear it for my brothers wedding!! I know i shouldnt have but my brother told me he had never seen me looking so beautiful and his wifes face hit the floor!!

Ha ha hun its ok thats exactly what H2B said, but on the day her MOH didnt turn up and they still didnt ask me!! H2B was fuming I had to stop him from saying something all day!!!
Oh Jono we didn even get an engagment card off my mam either, it was awful as all lloyds family and friends gave us cards and my family didnt bother its humiliating, i just felt so stupid, they just seem to think that its not going to happen.
Lloyds parents gave us £1000 to pay the venue deposit and i felt so bad for taking it as nobody on my side has offered anything xx

My mum is indifferent, hasnt really asked what our plans are or anything, looked at wedding dress and flower ideas early on with me and pulled all my opinions apart. Since then, nothing. She lives 70 miles away so its not really an issue and to be honest future MIL is as excited as me and has been doing the whole dress planning thing, H2Bs parents even bought my dress for me! Its a shame as at the moment my mum just feels like another guest invited to the wedding when really I'd like her to play more of an important part in my day. I know I've been married before and she pretty much organised the first wedding but she likes my H2B (apparently) and theres no reason why she should not be happy for me this time around. Guess I'll wait and see what happens nearer to the day but it is a sad feeling.

Mam and dad never acknowledged our engagement and never believed we were going to get married. They have tried everything to split us up 4 times in total so far. We don't trust them and we are always on our guard which is a terrible thing to have to be. My bro wants to give H2B a stag but he wont go as he said dad will be there and he wouldn't be able to trust him or enjoy himself although he does trust my bro who has been a great support to us from the start. x x x x

I had a fit last night and told h2b if he really wants to marry me he will forget the big wedding thing and let us just go away and get married.
