Im hoping too, my dad is an amputee and has just learned to walk again so for him to dance with me is an amazing achievment. No doubt i will cry like a baby too

I think I will as I'm very much a Daddy's girl. He'll be crying his eyes out.... Not sure on the song yet - I am not totally opposed to a soppy song and I don't dislike country as a genre but I don't like the tune of 'I loved her first". I once gave my dad a single song burned on a CD with a poem - it was "Dad" by K's Choice. Maybe an idea. Let's see.

My dad is a total non-dancer and not a great lover of modern music - only classic for him. Letting him choose wouldn't work for us but it's a lovely idea.

JanieWhite my Dad and I are having the same song. I'm generally not a big country music person but I loved the sentiment behind that song so much. My Dad and I had a bit of a turbulent relationship when I was a teenager so the fact he's so involved in my wedding makes me teary eyed already! I'll be in bits at the reception. Xx
