WE don't have any newborns, thankfully - although my brother's wife is trying her best, so you never know! But we do have a total of 16 who will be between 2 and 12 on the day, don't know what we're doing for the ceremony, but will be doing them all personal goody bags for favours so they get a toy I know they'll like!

I have 21 kids coming and one will be a couple of months old while 3 will be 1 and then most of the others are under 10. To be honest I will find it funny if one of them says something half way through etc. Its what kids do. You just have to accept them for the way they are and remember it is all part of making memories. I'm sure the guests would find it entertaining if you had to chase her around the room half way through ;0)

No really young ones, the only children there will be 3 and 5. Done them a couple of really nice party bags with activities, toys and sweets in, cost me about £15 each by the time I'd finished as I kept on seeing other things I liked to put in! Never met them before so hope I chose wisely!

Think at last count we are having 2 or 3 babies, 5 toddlers and about 10 kids between 10 and 14. So should be a hell of a day, lol. Will not be a dull moment though which will be great, me and h2b love kids and there will be lots of laughter with our youngest causing endless mischief I am sure! :)

We're going to have about 10 under 12's going - 7 of which will be under 5. I know for a fact my son (who'll be 3 and a half by then) will want to stand with us and that makes me happy - he is a 3rd of our wee family after all, the most important person in the world to us so it's a big day for him too!

What a great suggestion having a box of quiet toys is - such a great idea - may steal that for ours! I'd looked into mobile childminders but it was going to cost a fortune, esp since the kids would more than likely be going to guests relatives after the meal, which would leave my son who we want to be there! Granted he'll probably be very tired after such a long day but my mums not going to drink much so she can see to him. It will only be for one day after all x

We will be having 12 children at ours including our two mischief makers. Our son will be 6 by then and play happily with anybody, our daughter will be 2 and a half and I already have my mum and step-dad on hand for her, plus the rest of the people who are coming- it's not really something I had worried about until my step-dad came round a couple of hours ago and suggested we think about a magician or something for them as it will be a long afternoon/ evening/ night for them!

My uncle got married in november last year, and both me and my bother have got little babys. My little one was only 4 months and my brother's 6 months. The bride and groom did not mind about them being so young. They both were great because they didn't cry so we were lucky, but they wouldn't of minded eaither way. It was a family occasion and they wanted us all there to enjoy the day. At the wedding beckfast everyone loved how cute they looked in there outfits and were all wanting cuddles. :) I must say I do think it's great for children to be a wedding, because it seams to make conversation with the people you dont know.
Of course they did not last the whole day, they both went home bofore the reception .

We'll have a 5 month old, two 18 months olds, and three year old.

The one I'm worried about is my h2b's neice who's six and is the most spoilt brattish child I have ever met. The other day we went for a walk with them and their dogs and she started SCREAMING at her mum wanting a drink, and when her mum said she didn't have one the neice then demanded that her mum go all the way back to the shop (that was closed) to get her one. I'm dreading her behaviour. If she didn't act like she does she would be a flower girl, but there's no way I'm risking it. I've asked h2b to talk to his sister about her, and I've said that I am fully prepared to stop the ceremony to tell her off.

My brother and my MOH are both expecting now so there will be two babies to scream but I will aak them nicey before hand if there other halfs will take them out if they do start srceaming as I really can't stand it lol I know harsh as I have 3 of my own but I'd be the first to get up and take my child out if they were disturbing a wedding ceremony. I will invite kids to the evening thou it's a party after all and we will have two rooms and a courtguard for just our guests use kids will love it. X

My most stressful wedding comes to mind. The bride was delayed an hour due to traffic by which her flower girl nieces were past themselves. The brides sister and MOH came up the aisle with one bawling in her arms and the other screaming like a banshee whilst clinging to her mothers leg and being dragged on the floor. As guests we missed most of the service because the girls shouted all the way through because their mum was not sitting next to them. The MOH husband had a reading to do so we heard that because the girls had their mum back and just as they calmed them down one of them fell over in the pew and whacked her head and literally all hell broke loose. It ended up the dad then dragging them out but even then their wails of 'muuuuummmmmmeeeee' was all we could hear. Needless to say they were no better behaved at the reception. Put me off from kids for a long time! ha ha ha.

stressed to max b2b - not a bad shout, wasnt thinking about everyone drinking so 8:30 sounds like a good time. Parents then get to relax too. May speak to the nursery my son goes to when I'm at work, see if one of the girls that look after him would consider looking after him after 8:30. Likelihood is they'll just be looking after a sleeping child anyway - it'll be a long day x

I think weddings can be boring for adults let alone kids so if you are going to have them I dont think you can be upset if they make a noise or act up. Last wedding we were at the kids made a race track round the reception and spent the whole meal just running around it chasing each other. That was a complete waste of money! It was a boiling hot day and we could not open the windows as we were 2nd floor and the windows were floor to ceiling so we were all quite pleased as the kids created a draft. They did get reigned in for the speeches but did demolish the balloon table decorations that were put out for the evening do by clumping them all together and tangling them up. Luckily the bride was squiffy at this point and didnt really care...until a little person started sticking thier fingers int he cake ha ha
