    I have lived in Yorkshire for years but my Mum's side is Welsh and that is where I was born. My h2b is English through and through so I would like to include certain Welsh aspects to my wedding to represent my side.

    I have already thought about having Guide me, o thou great redeemer as one of my hymns and also having my bride and groom cake toppers holding a Welsh and English flag.

    If anyone has any other ideas, i would really appreciate it!

    you could get the welsh band cd, for the wedding breakie if your having one.

    I love the song Myfanwy, it makes me cry to hear it, reminds me of my mamma!

    check out the Trelawnyd Male voice choir its beautiful! Plus i'm biased i used to play in a brass band and i always got the solo. i love this song. I'm listening to it now, and I see my mamma singing away! she passed away in 2005

    I'm welsh - welsh love spoons are the way forward. My brother had them as favors at his wedding.
    They were about 3-4 inches tall - wooden love spoons with his first name initial and her first name initial engraved with the date underneath on the actual spoon bit.

    Tie a ribbon on top that matches you theme colour and voila - you have a fab welsh inspired favor.

    Alternativly name your tables as welsh words. This is something I am considering doing.
    I was going to call my head table Cariad = Love

    Then the following tables as follows.

    Sws = Kiss
    Fydd = Faith
    Tynherwch = Tenderness
    Gobaith = hope
    Cwtch = Hugs
    etc etc.

    i'm first language welsh so you can trust me that these are correct translations! hehe just in case you were worried.

    Im getting married in wales, though i live in surrey now, but my family are all from wales and still live there and it means loads to me.

    If you have any other tips let me know as I would love to incorporate as much welsh as i can into my wedding.

    When I got married before my ex was English and I am Welsh and we shared a love of Rugby so our invites were made like a rugby ticket with a dragon and the yorkshire rose on them... wording invited people to watch the match but then said the result would be tied. Think the love spoons idea is great

    I love the idea of Nameing the Tables in Welsh. I Love the fact Im welsh although the Patner is English, I really want to bring in aspects of heritage into the day aswell.
