    hi girls,

just want to share how ive bumped up my wedding fund.

i had washing machine 2 yrs which had digital countdown timer which occasionally lost track of time, but the machine still washed as it should.

my insurance company couldnt find fault but decided to give me a new machine.

last friday i bought a £500.00 appliance for £270.00 brand new so ive gained over £150.00 from insurance, and today somebody offered me £125.00 for my old machine. also as my insurance company cannot provide a part for my fridge after 9 weeks of waiting, they have also paid out for that too, and the appliance i am looking to buy is £170.00 cheaper than settlement, and someone also wants to buy my fridge. so technically i have bumped our wedding fund up by nearly £600.00 just by going about my normal day to day stuff, so i can now 'tick' off wedding dress as paid for . I so love it when a plan comes together!!!!

my mum always said i could sell sand to the arabs!!!

have any of you girls had unexpected windfalls to help you on your way??

    marie

    xx

i know. its made me quite excited as i feel that its relieved some of the usual worry of "are we going to run out of money......" and now instead of me running out to shops and buying clothes etc, i immediately earmarked it for wedding fund. miss mature or what!!!! lol

I sold an old pinball machine I had for £400 more than I paid for it (probably could have got more if I was more ruthless - turned out to be a rare example which got the pinball collector fraternity in a bit of a flutter) :-) Downside was previous to that my car cost me £550 after it broke it's suspension, so that kinda swallowed up the profit and more :-(
