I'm officially west yorkshire - but only 10 mins out of Barnsley, so thought i'd say Hi. I ended up getting my dress from Leeds, but i did go to the one upstairs in Barnsley centre and they were lovely. x

oooh i love tankersley manor it was our first option for a venue until we saw wentworth castle then completely decided on that, i went dress shopping yesterday just for a few ideas and went to two shops in barnsley; C@ssimeinto and Div@ the first one was lovely but the second one tried to convince me that a certain dress looked better on me (which it didn't) and it happened to be the most expensive one :( where a bouts are you thinking of getting married AmandaK74? xxx

Im getting married at holiday inn dodworth, we also considered wentworth castle but holiday inn won us over. We have been planning our wedding now for 12 months and only anothet 12 to go. Started to kick start the planning in full swing now, we really can't wait. It will fly by and don't let anyone tell you its too early to start planning because in my opinion it can never be too early

SLC86 whereabouts did u get ur rings? We got ours at a small independent jewellers in Dodworth. Brilliant? Tankersley was our first choice venue suits our theme to a tee.

I too have a weekly list of to dos up until the wedding day. I keep a spreadsheet too to try keep the purse strings within budget, however I dont seem to be good at it haha. There's so much you can have and do! However I am aware of our limit so it really does help

I'll be a South Yorkshire bride!! We haven't picked a venue yet but are going to look around a few, including Tankersley Manor, Holiday inn, Cubley hall, The Rutland hotel and The Garrison hotel! Anyone have any experience of any of those?
The packages at Tankersley are fantastic value for money, we've been struggling as a couple with a limited budget but larger guest list!
Can't wait to start look at places, we're hoping to get married in feb 2016
