What is it about weddings, it should bring out the best in people and but does the complete opposite! I'd never be bold enough to tell someone where I should be sitting whether I thought differently or not (which I wouldnt anyway)... it amazes me that people think they've got rights with regards to other peoples weddings, gets right on my nerves! x

Thanks! Yeah I got some on the bay pretty cheap for the kids to use. I keep forgetting I've got them as I gave them to my mum to store. Think I might have to make a wedding inventory and record where everything is! Using mil's house for storage too. Things might get forgotten!

That's a good idea. I want to get them the same thing and I couldn't think of a gift that would suit them both. A tree would be lovely.
So far I have giant minnie mouses/mice(?) for the fgs, aftershave for h2b so he has a special scent for life (lol!) and have my eye on a necklace for my bm but it's in a jewellers in my home town so will have to pick it up when I next go home.

Struggling for the men but that's h2b's job really. I'd like to get my dad something as he's making the cake, but I'm a bit torn. If we present him with a gift during the speeches, fil will be the only person not to get a gift. But he hasn't made the cake! I could give my dad a gift in private, but I wanted him to get recognition. Hmmm. Perhaps I could thank him during speeches anyway.
Same with my brother. Both mine and h2b's are ushers, but mine's done the stationery so I want him to have an extra gift but might have to do that privately too and just say a special thank you during the speeches. Trying to please everyone is hard.

In other news, today we booked the hotel for the San Diego part of our honeymoon, the rest's been booked ages but we ran out of money to book San Diego til this week. We were booking for three nights when we checked our flight dates and it's actually four nights we needed! An extra day of hol that I hadn't realised we were having, score!

We are giving the four sets of parents the trees but putting an extra gift for my mum and h2bs dad in their rooms as they have helped out so much where as the others havent been that interested.
It does start to get quite political :s

Theres lots you can do for trees/bushes, fruit trees, lavender trees, olive trees, rose bushes....

Bonus on the extra holiday day :)

I think I might have to buy them and ask a friend to mind them til Sept as my mil is round all the time and will see it! Marks' have a few online which have given me an idea of what they look like as I wasn't quite sure! I like the idea of lavender trees as my mum's v keen on lavender, always trying to get me to plant some but h2b not keen.

Talking of gifts, will you be getting the hotel co-ordinator, photographer, florist etc any thank yous? H2b says they are getting paid, which is true, but if they do a good job I'd like to say thanks. Bottle of wine or chocs or flowers (not for florist!) maybe?

Evening! Ah Nic, as soon as I got the mums sorted the girls go to pot! Never mind sure I can fix something up.

My envelopes came today. I am super excited and have got my special pen ready to write them, but seeing as the invites aren't printed yet I should probably wait!

I also got my flower girl to try on her dress and it'll fit perfectly by Sept which is good. She loved it and looked so cute :-) I have to swap the other dress I bought for an age 5 though as the girl is a very big 2 year old and the 4 was a bit snug! They are tiny dresses and she is very tall!

I also need more ferrero rochers. I had some bought for sweet tree at a really good price but this weekend..... I ate them
