i'm struggling to find make up artists that aren't booked! thinking i might just do it myself but not sure as my make up is either so subtle that you don't know its there or super glam!

Me too. I do wear it, but not a lot and I know I don't apply it very well! It certainly doesn't last even though I use good products. I want the experience and the treat of someone making me look good!

Just picked up the invites today!!

Well girls its not long till September now!! Ive got almost everything in place. Everythings booked now its just a case of the small details now to be put in place. Been racking my brains about wedding favours and we have decided to buy everyone a miniture as a "first drink on us". The are ideal as you can get childrens liqeurs in the same style bottle. The plan is to put them all in a fancy individual box and for the ushers n give them out after h2b has given his speech.

Also having sugared almonds in pretty pink and ivory bags but they will be in a basket on a separate table so people can help themselves.

I'm getting married on 15th September and have finally decided on a dress!
I'm getting measured next week and can't wait.
Me and H2b are doing our evening playlist this week (as we aren't having a band or dj) and we are giving notice in a couple of weeks at the town hall!
It's all starting to come together!

me loves my little buckets :-) my OH wants to spray them glittery as he doesnt like the finish of them and i have to say that i'm all up for that so i bought two spare just in case he mucks them up

apart from that my invites are going out this week :-) really early i know but i want the RSVP's back so that i know who can and can't make it then i can send out a second round if i need to for numbers

I'm sending my invites in march/april, even though I'm tempted to send them all now! but we are still struggling to decide who we want as day guests and who we want for evening, we've got 50 for the day for sure we want to invite, but about 10 people, that we can't decide if they'd be better suited to the day than evening as they have young children....

Going for a chat with the venue tomorrow to sort out a few bits, hopefully their wont be any problems, as we're thinking of changing out menu choices again. I guess thats the trouble being a chef, keep thinking up new ideas! lol x

We had 4 people we had question marks with for the day so we decided to move them to the evening and put some other evening ones on the day instead :-)

wooooo! all invites out bar the two in my car (one we need to post cos we didnt have time to go to wakefield this week) and the other is my ex Maid of Honour who i want to give in person really as we need to takl (seperate thread)

Just got two left to write but we can't do those yet as we don't know if one of their husbands has died over the weekend :-\ can you imagine if he has and she gets an invite with both their names on?! eeeek!

we are going to write ours next week and get them sent out early so hopefully we get the rsvps back nice and early. desperate to get a rough idea of numbers x

I got my make up artist sorted yesterday. The lady who is doing my cake recomended her but said she is so good she gets booked up very early. One of my friends who gets married a month before me tried to get her but she was booked for her day. I was so lucky that she was available for my date and she is fantastic. Does the airbase airbrush make up aswell which is a massive bonus as my skin is not great. Im so excited now. Bridesmaid appointment on Saturday then only thing left to sort is transport but im only getting a limo to take us all there as its only a 5 minute drive from my house to the hotel :) x x x x x

i'm sure i've booked/decided on a few things since i last posted on this thread, but can't remember. i'm such a scatterbrain lol

i'm looking at making a wishing tree for the party here. looks fairly simple to make and CHEAP!!!!! lol

think we're going to fill little pots with coloured sand for favours with nice little tags

going to order a lot of shells and starfish for the centrepieces from the bay, but the venue is has it's own centrepieces, which are beautiful. i'll just scatter them around them

h2b loves his retro sweets, so we'll buy a load of sweets and some wee paper bags for guests (and no doubt lots of kids!!! lol)

I have solved my problem. We bought 12 vases for an event in work 2 years ago and they've been in a box under my desk ever since. Tried them and they look perfect so I am borrowing them :-)

i wanted one too but my OH bought a guest book (the only thing he has bought) so he doesn't want me to change things now

We have just ordered our cake H2B spotted it over my shoulder when I was flicking through a wedding mag and what the prince wants the prince gets ;-)
We found the actual company that provided the cake in the magazine article and I posted the deposit on Monday.
Plus now the dress deposit has been paid and I have an appointment with a hair and make up lady next week so I'm merrily ticking things off my list!

I was going to try and put a picture of my cake on my post but I don't know how to do that, I don't think I have the permissions.

I don't know where to put anything. Don't want everything to go to mil's because don't want nosey sil and bil seeing everything. Have two spare rooms, but our cat rips anything up he can get his paws on so they're no gos. Have put a few bits up the loft but worried i'll forget what's up there and whereabouts it is!

I have been ordering little things every week or so, it's nice to get something to tick off the list. Not much left now, just sweets for buffet and gifts. x
