Little moan....The girl who sits opposite me in work (who I really like) got engaged over xmas and has just booked her wedding for Aug this year. Hardly a problem as we have no mutual friends and she's getting married miles away from me. But after all my excitement over counting down and she's beaten me!!

Lol I know it's silly but I am a teeny bit miffed!

Oh well. Sept 2012 is still THE month to wed ;-) x

I know how you feel. Actually the worst fb friend i've got is a girl who I used to be best friends with who dumped me and our housemates for her new fella and we just stopped talking. It was a shame but I didn't feel the need to keep making the effort with her when she wasn't interested. Well she got married in July. And now, every wedding update I put she comments. 'Oh I know how you feel' 'Oh it's exciting planning isn't it' 'Oh I was the same planning my wedding last July - I'm already married you see' etc etc etc!!!!
She thinks she's the oracle of weddings. She didn't invent marriage!!!! Argh just cos we have one thing in common she's suddenly interested in me after 4 years! Grr rant over!

Ah I feel mean moaning about my work friend as I am very happy for her, but everyone in work is like 'oooh just before you eh Clare'. Grr. I know I've only been waiting 4 months but i'm bored now. Want it to be Aug! x

Hello, just checking in! 32 weeks to go!

This week I got our rings from the jewellers, love them. And after about 10 weeks managed to tie my chair cover woman down and get a sample of the closest colour sash to my theme and luckily its almost perfect so I'm happy that's finally sorted. I picked a funny colour and it's been so hard to get matching stuff I was worried she wouldn't be able to match it and i'd have to source my own, or pick silver/ivory/white sashes.

I got mine from debs when they had 30% off - they have a good range so its a good place to start
I'd go and try a few on and see which you prefer, i have gone for a basque but might buy the matching bra and then change as im not sure how comfortable it will be in a basque and wedding dress corset for 12 hours :s

I'm not wearing a bra as the dress is so heavily corseted. I think i'm going to go for some nice knickers but not see through or anything as my mum and BM's will be helping me into the dress so it will be comfortable as well

frilly ivory french knicker i think

Ooooh heck! Not been on here for a while. Been a busy bee :)

Got the cake sorted and booked, just waiting for my cheque to clear to pay the deposit.

Found PERFECT tall vases in TKMaxx for our tree centerpeices at £9.99 each! BARGIN! So will be getting them when h2b gets back from deployment.

Got our tree stumps from the forest behind our house. We found a couple lying on the floor, so rolled them to the road, and chucked them in the boot. Naughty hehe :) So will be starting our cake stand when h2b gets back too!

Had a £15 voucher for NEXT so going to spend that on some nice photo frames for a photo of my mum and chris's nan to go somewhere- dont know where yet, I think next to the cake, but Chris doesnt know.

Thinking about getting my BM dresses online too. Found some nice ones for £69.99 and had some good reviews :)

i can't wait for my purple shoes to come back all crystalised :-) so exciting!

we had a phone call from our bakery - they are shutting eeeeek!!! she is however honouring all her current orders and just sticking to home made cakes as that side of the business is making money where as they shop isn't :-( nvm at least i still get my gorgeous cake!!!!!

oooooooo got two bridesmaids dresses from bay of e only work once was a bit disappointed with the decond one as it was listed as a age 10 but it has been taken in so i'm hoping that my bridesmaid doesn't grow if she does i'll have to have it taken out and hope that the stitching can be covered up. the age 3 dress however is the cutest thing i have ever seen!!! i am so happy with it :-D

    Woo exciting!

All good stuff! My shoes were off the bay, barg!

This week I have bought my garter. Not a busy week! Have see the flower girl dresses I want in Debs and there is 20% code I could use, but worried it's too early as they might grow. They're both 2 now and turn 3 in April and July. But one is a big kid, one is teeny and it's the older one who's the shrimp!

Reading through most peoples post I feel a little behind, we just decide in November to get married on 1st June 2013 after being engaged for 3yrs only for my brother to get engaged and book his for 4th May 2013. Oh no he wouldn't budge at all or at least his new Fiance wouldn't so now we've had to go with 1st Sept 2012 which I felt didn't give me much time at all to get organised. I have my dress, bridesmaid dresses are ordered and arrive in June, Mens suits are sorted, venue and church are booked, cars are booked, Photographer booked, I've sent out "save the date" and I've made my own invitations for the ceremony and evening. I still have a lot to do aswell as have an operation on my hip which will see me laid up for a month or so. Looking forward to Hen night in Belfast tho

I have finally found my soulmate
On 1st Sept 2012 I will become Mrs Curry

Thanks girls, I feel a bit more at ease now. You wouldn't think I'd done it before the only difference is I only had 4mths the last time but my Aunty who has now moved to Turkey and my mam took charge and they did everything for me from sorting out the bridesmaids to the last details on the tables, my mam even did my table plans etc as I had 2 toddlers at the time. Now I have no help as my h2b actually lives in Scotland with his folks on the farm and only comes home every other week and my Bridesmaid lives in Ireland. I know everything will just fall into place I'm just worried I'll forget about something.

Hello ladies, we are getting married on 15th September 2012. With a little twist. Me and my sister are having a joint wedding. May not be evryones cup of tea but its perfect for us. We are very close, it reduces the cost by half, my dad is disabled and doesn't walk very well so he will be walking us both down the isle together, we also have lots of family scattered around so it means they only have to travel down once and lots more reasons.
It is going to be great. We have booked the venue, registrar, recepion, most of the decorations, photographer, one of the two cakes, dresses have been ordered. Lots more to do tho. Im soooooo excited. xx

wow gemsy!! double wedding sounds cool!!

think i've found my venue for the do back home. it's a bar in glasgow city centre and has a really nice looking function room in the basement. gary's not too keen as it's next to gay clubs and he thinks it's a gay bar, but it's not. it's pretty cheap, central, has good reviews from friends and looks FAB!!!
