Funnily enough smarties my moh was invited to a hen party at chester races this weekend but she couldnt go as she's off to another wedding

I just got my second essay mark back and it's another guddun :-)
V pleased I did so well when I found it so hard to concentrate and stay focused because of this flipping wedding! Feel a bit more confident about my chances for the rest of the degree now. Wasn't sure I could hack it.

I am gonna struggle diet wise this week. It's graduation today and tomorrow at work and they put on the best free buffets :-( Gonna have to try to walk on by.

gosh what a right palava i've had!!!

we had the meeting with the venue on monday night and everything has been finanlised down to when we are having our first dance and speeches.

I found out the rate for my parents for a room as when they tried to book it it was full price and the receptionist didn't know the discount price, so i rang up my mum and dad to tell them to be told that my brother had been found blacked out on the floor of his bedroom by his girlfriends parents and had been rushed to hospital and had to be sedated as he wasn't responding and they needed to do a catscan to work out what was wrong with him, he has smashed his head on the side of there desk when he fell out of bed so they were worried about brain damage.

he was out of it for 48 hours and we were told to try and talk him out of the 'coma' so i spent monday night in a hospital waiting room with him in Intensive care while they tried to bring him round. he came round a bit the following day but only got a few words out of him so we left him for a while, we then went back he came round and was awake in the evening and he made my mum and his girlfriend promise to wake him up when we arrived. he was really tired and only really said Mmmmhmm but at least he was awake!!!

he has meningitus and swelling on his brain and an infection in the fluid on his brain, they think he has got the meningitus from a tick bite on his leg and the brain stuff has been caused by recent eye surgery he has, so he's in hospital for two weeks at least.

went to see him yesterday and he was dressed and talking properly, he's just a bit un co-ordinated and his speech is a bit slow but that will improve slowly as time goes by.

OH has cancelled his stag do as that was in 2 weeks as he says he can't do it without his wingman so i thought that was so sweet, my brother can't really go around rolling in fields with a paintball gun at the moment so he is going to have a few drinks and maybe a meal instead and then have a 'married do' instead

on the wedding side i've also got the right size for the little bridesmaids just need to get them to try them on but with everything thats been going on i haven't had chance and the hospital is a 40 mile round trip so its been a bit difficult

he is thanks he's just trying to get back to normal and he keeps asking when he can go home.

I hate it when people drop out last minute, no-one can commit these days!

Ah he's replaced one of the guys and is gonna try sell the other. He's annoyed as he knew one would cancel. Has known all along. Least he's not out of pocket for him though.

strapless bra shopping

the dress shop told me they can fit it without me needing one blah blah blah and now all of a sudden they had said i need to bring one with me, urgh! i hate strapless bras hence why i didn't want one and to get one to fit my b00bs is gunna cost me between £30 and £40 that i just don't have right now!

other than that take the shoes for the little BM's to try on and then go see my brother

he's much better and out of High Dependancy Unit so thats good he's just waiting for his lumbar puncture results to find out what strain of meningitus it is, once they know they know the treatment to take but they are treating him with daily IV of anti biotics to get ahead and it will mean less time in hospital.

he's still a bit slow in his speech and picking things up but he's been texting me like crazy so he is definately feeling better

well the swelling on his brain needs to go down before he will be 100% but its the right road, i've just added up my favours now i have done the table plan and i think i'm one bucket short for the ladies >:-| so i need to make a 20 mile round trip for one bucket and some tissue paper!!!! i can get the tissue paper from a local card shop but nooooooooo i need to get some more, urgh!

hahaha its amazing what we will do for small things

we paid for mine and the two adult bridemaids hair and make up over the weekend and also sorted the reading of the banns at the local parish so thats that all sorted!

bro has been moved off the mental health ward as he was struggling to sleep as two were making chicken noises during the night and chasing each other down the corridor as well as coming up to his bed and telling him to pass out :-S even when his curtains were closed

he is hoping he might be home today or tomorrow but its all down the the test results to confirm what type of meningitus it is, he has been allowed out for a few hours a day when he isn't having his antibiotics so thats made him a bit happier :-)

Today I've bought an usher gift, thank you cards for bridal party and gift bags for their gifts. My to buy list is so small now! The to do one is longer.

I made updated clean versions of the list quite often as the messy ones annoy me!

Ooh my dad made my cake this weekend! Well the fruit cakes that will be the ones stacked and on display. He'll make the other flavoured ones, that we'll cut but not display, nearer the time.

i wear a bra everyday i really don't want to wear one on my wedding day i want a dress that can hold the girls in hence my original choice lol

I've done our table plan just need to get it printed on A1 at a stationary store somewhere then get it stuck onto the foam board, paid mine and the girls hair and make up (not sure if i mentioned that haha)

made a list last night, one for me and one of OH i was really stressing so he kept moving some of the stuff on to his list and i kept telling him off hahaha

getting nightmares about the dress being too small now :-(

Easiest way smarties, i had loooooooads of ribbon and butterflies left over so i needed to use them up anyway

I'm doing the same but using buttons instead of butterflies! Have you put ribbon on the lid and on the box separately or does the ribbon run over the lid to seal it shut? If that makes sense?

I spent a fair bit yesterday on the bay for the thank you cards and gift bags. They're nice and saves me shopping for them! Naughty as payday isn't til Fri.....
