Just wondering if any of you lovely ladies are in the same area as myself? Wondering what wedding fairs are around this year other than the standard Grimsby Auditorium which I love - not keen on individual events for hotels etc as we already have our venues booked! :) anyone recommend any bridal shops in this area for bridesmaid dresses?

I'm in the north west so kind of lol! I am thinking of going to the Manchester one but I think there is the uk wedding show in newcastle, not sure if that's too far for you though? Not sure about the bridal shops though sorry x

Yeah it's kind of ;) trying to avoid the massive ones as 2 of my maids are pregnant (one very nearly at due date!) so don't want to drag them far! Newcastle sounds good though as my SIL lives in the 'Boro so could maybe take her and my nieces to that one :) thanks hun xx

Finally someone from Lincolnshire here lol We are getting married in Lincoln. Not north or west, but near lol I heard about a wedding faire in Lincoln in some hotel, but gonna check it out. I'm currently in Brazil, will be in Lincoln in March. :)

Are we the only ones Camila? I know KelBel is from Grimsby (went to school with my H2B) but she's been married a few months now :) I went to the Lincoln wedding fair last year on the Bailgate, was lovely but it was more of a venues one rather than the Grimsby Auditorium one which is all suppliers etc :)
The Grimsby one is in Feb which is a shame as I'd of met up with you and took you there - only around the corner from my house! xxx
It's really a shame :( The worst thing is to plan the whole wedding by this far. Don't think I'll be able to go to any wedding fair :/ My MoH is helping a lot finding suppliers and developing my ideas lol

If everything in my life goes right (fingers crossed!), I will be moving back to Europe next September, and back to Lincoln on September 2016. Meanwhile, we are planning to visit each other every now and then. Gonna spend 20 days now in March and will go for the venues and the church, to book everything. My OH is really lovely and has been really helpful to calm me down. I'm always freaking out that something will go wrong and he is always making me breath and think again <3 Have you booked anything already?

Bless you! You must have patience of a saint, I think I'd be a complete nervous wreck lol Yes we have our reception venue booked but meeting our lady on Monday as we moving it forward to 21st May 2016 instead :) visiting churches this weekend and will finalize those next week after changing our date :)
Bought my dress in December and meeting with our caterer tomorrow afternoon for a tasting session :) that's where I'm at for the moment :P xxx

Well, I've chosen almost everything online. Still need OH approvals, but everything is basic decided lol His parents suggested the church, and I'm really happy with it. We also found the venue really near his parents and the church. My fmil is making our cake (she offered and I would never say no to her <3 ) I am making all the stationery and printing it online, we've decided for the theme and decoration (centrepieces, church aisle, top table), the photographer is a good friend of mine (she is pro, but no specialized on weds yet), we are hiring or buying video cameras for our friends to film it... And my dress is quite chosen, but I still have to go and try it on to see if it looks good on me lol Everything is chosen, but didn't buy/book anything. Will start as soon as we book the venue and the church. I'm really excited! :D

Sill have to sort out loads of things like a band, rings, chair covers... but yeah, loads sorted. Do you go to Lincoln often?
