I have just emailed the new wedding coordinator asking for information. I'm so excited. I'm having a bash at the written bit for the invites as im in the office 2mora & can use the printer (sneakily) lol x

@MrsH2B I've asked people to RSVP by email as it was the easiest and quickest option... I also have everyone email address that is coming to our wedding and send them fortnightly updates... people love it :-) xx

You're welcome... I set up a new email 'mynameandh2b'snamewedding' we didn't want to use our own personal email addresses... that is the email address we use for anything to do with the wedding... :-) xx

I did start to sign up a wedding website but it was so detailed & I never got around to finishing it. Plus because only my family are coming abroad with us, and only my family seems to care H2B didnt see a point as we see my family all the time and they already know everything thats happening lol
H2B said we should just set up a wedding email.
Aint it funny, i complain he needs to have more input & when he does I go ahead and ask other ppl. lol oops

It was the first thing that I set up... didn't ask h2b just did it and told him about it ... and yeap I know how you feel about h2b not being as involved as they can be... happy to have helped... wedding planning is stressful although being honest I'm not yet that stressed :-) xx

hmmm... my h2b... bless him... he's a little too laid back for my liking... we had a little talk the other day where I said he didn't care and that he didn't want to marry me... and poor baby was so hurt.. and said in no uncertain term that he wants to marry me but that he's very very laidback and boy he is... he's now promised to be more helpful.. but being honest I'd prefer to do the planning and as long as he's where I need him to be then I'm happy with that... I wouldn't make any decision without him saying yes or no in regards to thinngs like cakes etc

I think that us women are more excited and generally better at doing the whole planning thing than the menfolks xx

The sizes for the invites and styles of writing.

My H2B is pretty laid back. The only task i've giving him soley with no input from me is the first dance song. He is really into his slow jams and wants to find a really meaningful song. But he has played me so many love song in our time together im really stuck as to which 1 he will choose. x

Hey eveyone im getting maried 16th June this year, im so excited but getting so nevous so much to pay for in such short time arrrgggghhhh LOL.. bridalmiss its upsetting iv got 6 back saying declinde as on hol but i just think that they r missing the best day ever and it'll be cheaper for us as less to feed, hehe. When did everyone do RSVP dates for i did 29th Feb i thought its different and u can only ever put that on a invite every four years lol everyone loved it. but the evening people have till end of march to reply.... LauraCrossan it depends what u r doing for ur wedding breakfast? if ur having a sit down meal i done mine now so i get everyones choice and its easier on the venue and then i can put on there place cards what the ordered :) if ur doing a buffet then id personally do it 12 weeks before wedding as people are slow and u start stressing cos of numbers and then having to chase people up n last thing u wanna do a week before ur special day as ur have enough to worry bout :) xxxx

Haha we couldn't be bothered with menu choices and faffing about, so it's canapes for starters, then 5 main dishes being brought out on trays like Chinese dim sum fashion, and 7 mini desserts coming out on sandwich/cake stands - so it's like a buffet but the food is brought to the guests, no queueing - and to save the faff on who drinks red or white, our table wine is rose and if they want different there's a pay bar LOL

we didn't wanna be fussed with menu choices either, so we picked the food everyone is having and are providing a vegetarian alternative if anyone doesn't eat what we've picked!

I've had a fair few responses so far. A 1/4 way there with knowing who is coming. Then phase two of invites can start in March! xxxx

Oh.............. whats everyone put as the invite wording (both day and evening) we don't want to be completely traditional but not too wacky either, it's my job now to come up with ideas so we can get the inserts printed next week.

@Zoe81- We sent out our save the dates last Aug and we're sending our invites out next week with a rsvp of 24th February and if there are a lot no's we'll have enough time to fill the gaps! There may be a few as 1 cousin's baby is due about then and another might be posted abroad!

Evening invites are "request the company of, Names, at an evening reception to celebrate their marriage + time, date etc."
PLUS a note at the end "Due to finacial and space restrictions, invitations are for named persons only. Apologies for any offence this causes" Don't want everyone bringing their kids along (happened at another wedding!)


We were going to be more informal but as we managed to afford the church we thought it would look better + my friend's invite was quite informal and some idiots turned up dressed too casual for my liking!!! xx

bridalmiss u sud phone up if not ur have to do something, i love my idea lol. iv got a bus for free and a free driver but passengers are gonna pay £2.00 each so its a tip and petrol but the church from our venue is just 2 miles so not far bu hardly no parking so its a better idea everyone gets the bus.

Our invites where formal like u Kaz i prefer it as i want everyone looking very smart, if we have any more declines im gonna bump some of our friends up to full day :) xxx

I've been having a look around for cheap toasting wine and i found some for about £3.68 a bottle and will only need bout 5 so not too bad lol..
Bridalmiss iv found someone who does like a venue ticket for proms n parties but u can change all the wording to wedding bus, il put it on my profile from where n who if u cant get them from the bus company. xxxxx
