We have found the place we want for our return reception and its very cheap. We can decorate etc but i havent really thought to much about that as yet. x

H2B has suggested we go for a drink at our venue the weekend as we wont have our daughter. We will defo take pics so I can show you ladies. Our place is a weird shape to Kaz. It's long rather than wide but still wide enough to fit 2 huge round 10-seater tables side-by-side with space to walk past. Will let u ladies give me some feedback after we have been. x

Kaz - love your invites! Did you get your RSVPs from VP? I want to get mine from there but want to know the size of them before ordering and can't find that info anywhere!! Do you know how big they are? Thanks :o) xx

My H2B is a bit dubious of using VP for any of our invites, but trying to convince him that we could get the inserts from them, make life a litle bit easier!

My STD cards are due by the end of the month H2B needs to tell his mum the wedding is booked before I send them out......he has until they arrive lol x

I only told my mum at the beginning of this month because, although she knows we're engaged, it was so long ago and she really isn't interested! (Told her on the 2nd haven't seen her or spoken to her since)

His folks have struggled with us cause I have 3 boys from my previous marriage. They have stages of being fantastic with us and the boys and stages where they arent.......he told them when we officailly got engaged in May (we booked the wedding last Nov!!) last time he spoke to her he told her we had decided on a date and looked at a few places, so next is to tell her we have booked it........she just seems to show no interest. When we saw them in June they said they would take us out for tea to celebrate (I wasnt in the room when this was mentioned) and we ahve given them about 4 dates were are few and can get a sitter and they are either busy or dont get back to us.
I know it upset H2b but I also know he thinks its their lose, it really upsets me as its not my fault I married a violent A hole and had 3 kids with him. I wish they were H2b boys but I cant change that. xx

Zoe my mum paid no attention to my baby sisters wedding until almost the last moment when she bought my 2 daughters dresses, but then she showed up 10 mins late with them and my step dad who was giving her away! And seeing as I'm the black sheep, baaah, not holding out for a joyful mother/daughter experience!!!

Theres a kitchen and separate serving area at our place which comes with the hire cost so we are lucky but my uncle is still cooking the food elsewhere and just heating the food there on his warming plates as there isn't enough cooker space for the massive pots. will prob just do the frozen nibbles there like spring rolls etc. x

It aint about her being happy hun! If she that annoyed she can pay the cost as ur wedding gift???

Sometimes you've just got to be that way hun. Some people although they may be trying to help just make things more difficult.

I was going to buy cupcakes for the kids but been thinking I've got 11 months I should practice and make them instead. Maybe you could share some ideas or recipes with me hun if you've got any? x

Went to our venue last night took some pics. They still ain't taking any bookings til January next year. So on new years day we will book it. The guy says he doesn't think the boss is putting the price up but we will have to wait & see. It's currently £250 hire £300 with table cloths. Venue has free parking, private entrance & toilets, private bar, kitchen, food serving area, dj booth, round 8-seater tables & dance floor!

Hi all we are getting married on the 30th june 2012 at St Laurence church in Scunthorpe. At the moment all that is booked is the church Next job is to find a venue for the reception.

Hello ladies just quickly popping in to say hi. Ive was in la last week as one of my clients had a baby (im a manager of a nanny agengy) so really busy and im off to to japan tomorrow lol so no time to breath really lol oh what fun lol

Anyway wedding plans are coming along fab......ive had 3 designs sent to me for my dress so just need to pick one then go back to get fitted. She's gonna do my bridesmaids dresses for me too just no idea how i want them yet tut.

Booked the venu and decided to go for the more DIY package so i can get more of US in the day...........so im going to need allllll the help i can get from you lovely ladies as i have no idea lol.

And ive got 5 photographers lined up to see on friday when im back in london .....exciting times!!

Well it's been a while ladies but a quick update from me, we've booked the venue, it's all paid for so another thing ticked off my list!
Hopefully gonna pop in there tomorrow or next week and get some pictures so you lovely lot can give me some good ideas about lay out/table plans etc. xx

Yeah next - Caterers, bar hire AND photographer! H2B is on a course Sep until xmas and then in Kenya from Jan for 6 weeks...... Cheers army! Lol sooooo lots of planning in the next couple of weeks for us xxx

It's nice to have a little break from planning though, I'm finding it's all I think about so looking forward to getting everything booked and then relax for a month or two lol xxx
