I still haven't found my dress or h2bs suit. We aren't having matching suits luckily or that would be yet another cost. H2b us wearing a full suit but we have told other people that they don't have to due to the heat but they have all said they will for the ceremony & pictures. Think we going to look at next for h2b suit can't hire as we will end up paying for 2wks as we can't return it until we are back. Next have fab end of season sales so hope we find something there. x

Yay June 2012, I'm 9th June and so happy we have less than a year to go although am already getting nervous. I'm feeling pretty organised so far I have venue booked, registrar booked, appointment made to give notice, found my dress, save the dates have been sent out, bought flowergirl dresses, secured our band yesterday, string quartet, photographer, car booked, iv bought all my mirrors for tables, scatter crystals, Rose petals, bridesmaid jewelery, flowergirl jewelery and hair accesories, cd to play for wedding breakfast, hotel for the night before and wedding night and cake as my mum is doing that and we already know what we want! So next on my agenda is flowers, bridesmaid dresses( when I finally choose a colour, so far I have stuck pretty neutral), chair sashes ( already have a quote just need to book), rings and honeymoon, oh and mens suits! Phew xx

Guess what ladies...the wedding contract came today!!! We going to read it through and sign it n get it sent back. Once it's done our chosen date will be confirmed (hopefully) & we will be sent our wedding pack (where we can choose extras) & wedding coordinator

Hi All,
Mine is booked for June 1st 2012! I can't believe how quickly the time is going. I have sorted my venue with time and date fixed with registrar, photographer, my wedding shoes and stationary design (all my invited etc.). We just need to really sort out the flowers and I need to do a few tweeks to the invites and get them all printed. Then there is a matter of my dress which i'm now down to 2....
i feel like we still have loads to do but H2B is very calm about it all...

it is crazy, at work i help organise trades shows so i would have thought he would have listened but nothing I say will get thru to him. He just says that it will work out in the end... its the same with the money too...
but i have been very lucky as I have got someone printing all my stationary for free so that saving us loads and also it means I can design it how I want it to be :)

Try writing everything out in black and white (with the costings aswell), usually helps them see what there is to do and how much you need to save/spend on it all.
Thats good, every bit of saving helps doesnt it cos it really does all add up! :)

Well ur all very organised!
Wooden rose samples arrived today (they're in my picture album) Need to pick 2 colours if anyone wants an opinion. Colours are left to right - Cream, brown cream, terracotta, burgundy/cream, burgundy and light brown. By the way I've already ruled out terracotta. Pinky/burgundy coloured material is the bridesmaid dresses and the flower came off my dress!

oo lots of girls getting married same date asme - anyone who is having a civil ceremony given notice of marriage yet? I booked the registrar and have my appointment to give notice on the 15th July (next week). Can't wait it feels so real now. Once that is done I am sending my save the date cards out!!!
I have practically done everything I can do except pay as saving up and buy bridesmaids stuff as too early. Gonna go sample cake and put down deposit by end of this month so all being good next friday in less than a year i will be a happily married woman! x

Hi lovelylainee what date are you getting married? We gave our notice of marriage a couple of weeks ago, had to do it within two months of booking the registrar, I just wanted it done sooner rather than later so it's sorted now :) Feel much more real now the legal bit is sorted, just all the fun stuff to do now!

Bit of a prob, went to town today to check against the material for the waistcoats and may have to change the bridesmaid colour! TBH I've had enough 2day, my dress doesn't fit since my doctor changed my tablets, then the materials didn't match, bus fares went up so I nearly had to walk home with all my shopping and to top it off I've forgotten half the veg for the dinner tomorrow, which wouldn't have been a problem but my sister's borrowing the sewing machine for a month and I got 2 pirate costumes to make for a couple of weeks time! :0( And breathe...... Sorry guys, got to keep reminding myself I do have 10 months to sort it out!

Excellent, well 2day started ok, got a bit of work done and finished one wedding invitation to show you all (will upload photos later!) Daren't put all butterflies on the front though as I'll need extra room to store them! Looks like they may need to be sent lge envelope as the butterfly sticks out a bit too far, still if I start buying stamps 10 a week we won't even notice it will we! Thanks for your support yesterday, if I complained about every little thing to H2B, he'd start wearing ear plugs lol

Bridal shops r really starting to pee me off. You find a dress on the designers website, you call the store that is meant to have it and they tell u they dont. Ok fine one store maybe but the 6 nearest stores to me? They are really taking the pee now.

There's two i LOVE which are very similar tbh one is an Alfred Angela the other a Maggie Destinations.
This company are coming to my house (well my moms) with a number of dresses for me to try on. Its like an Ann Summers party. Two fellow UKB girls are coming to the party so hopefully they will help me find the style that suits me best & then I will use that to decide on which of the two dresses I choose.
