I've already started to plan a house refurb which will replace the time and money being spent on the wedding.

I must agree with you Kath, that it is fun and exciting until this last stage! The planning is more of a chore now and I just want the wedding to come round now.
We are moving in to a place 2 days after the honeymoon (mortgage etc all going through at the moment), so that will take our time and money. And I will get to live with my husband :) x

I just keep putting everything off! 'I'll do that tomorrow..' Tomorrow just will keep rolling over! To be honest most of the stuff on my to do list isn't even my problem I think, or is a 2 min job.
Here it is:
- Make the table plan: yes this will take a while haha - Pay for the drinks at the venue: doing that at the weekend - FG's shoes: mums sorting them at the weekend - book my nails and eyebrows: nails booked, just need to book eyebrows - underwear for everyone: their problem - underwear for me: just need some fancy comfy pants! not wearing a bra - florist: call and ask if we owe anything - church florist: call and ask if she wanted us to go halves with the couple the day after and sort out access the night before - sort out pew ends: gonna just order some on ebay i think.. - buttonholes: i bought some ivory foam roses and was going to make them into spare buttonholes but i cant be bothered anymore! - FG & BM fitting: can't do anything about this as its organized for next weekend and the following weekend so this ones staying put until the 26th may - bm sashes: lady making the dresses is making them so not my issue - post box: still need to buy a postbox or something like that - guestbook: the guestbook we have doesn't have blank pages so need to buy another one - FG present: will sort this weekend - father of bride/groom present: was thinking of zippo lighters but don't know if we should just get them a bottle of wine or something?
Just had our first dance lesson, went quite well and think H2B enjoyed himself!

I just want to get married now - this planning has driven me nuts the last couple of weeks. That and I keep feeling sick so I just want to get on honeymoon and enjoy myself so I can stop stressing out!

Paid for the suits today that is a weight lifted although h2b got a little carried away and got the price totally wrong for his, I've told him he has to wear it for every special occasion forever!!

Table plan - sorted and at print Postbox - ordered 6 white wedding brollies - arrived today. They look amazing and were only £40 off the bay! dress fitting - tomorrow morning underwear - need to buy something snazzy for the evening as am wearing comfy knicks for the day ;) need to WEAR IN MY SHOES - girls don't forget to do this, we don't want blisters on the day! Need to make all the cookies for the favours and tie them up in the bags write all the place names have another hair trial - didn't like my one last week :( PAY everyone! pack for honeymoon book nails, bikini wax and eyebrow threading make the table names with all the photographs I've collected.
Aaah I feel a bit overwhelmed by it all, the next few weeks are going to fly by! What's everyone getting for their Dads and Mums? Xxx

we've got out mums a bag charm with their initials on them, and our names and wedding date on them. they have swarvoski crystals on them, and little charms relating to weddings :)
£20 each so about the same as a bouquet of flowers but something they can keep.
for our dads, we dont know. i still need to get something for my grandparents as they have helped so much financially!

Finally managed to book a hotel for the hen do this morning, been a total nightmare but feeling releaved sorted now.
Made a bit of progress on some little bits too over the weekend, keep telling myself I have all of Jubilee week off to get things done, but it's also half term so I imagine I will only achieve playing football and making play dough!

Booked for meal out, 19th May, which is also my birthday so getting excited. Apart from the fact that my mother has decided it's not her sort of thing so she's not coming!
Spent the weekend in bed with a sickness bug, but as kids have had tonsillitus, a cold and the sickness bug, hopefully we'll be illness free for the big day!

yeah done that - just gotta make the order of the days and get table plan printed, pay every one, chase rob's lads for suit measurements and pay, exchange a bridesmaid dress, finalise accommodation payments with guests and get fitted for my dress
Hen do is 28th May to 2nd June so i have a bit of a break, last minute sorting, beautifying the week of the wedding and then get married!

I have a few bits left to do mostly involving money as always! Need to pay balance at venue, pay DJ, pay balance on hen do, pay final payment on bridesmaid dress, pay for cake.
Pre wedding shoot on 26th may in the morn, was delayed due to weather. PM is bridesmaid dress fitting.
27th May step dad has his suit fitting and h2b has final fitting.
1st & 2nd June is hen do.
2nd June is stag do.
Need to put music on my iPod and type up and print out my little boys reading.
Email venue photographers meal choice.

My umbrellas arrived yesterday :) Got a rainbow walker, 'cos I think it'll look great in pictures if we do have to use them but H2B thinks it doesn't look "weddingy enough". Also got a navy blue golf umbrella so we both have a brolly to walk under and stay dry if the worst happens and it rains

Everyone is paid now! No more money to pay out for essentials! Just little extra's if we want them now :) Like umbrella's, scatter crystals etc, but got most things!
Dress fitting for the BM's and FG's on Sunday, hopefully they will be complete then.
Hen do 26th May.
Finish work on the 31st May then I can relax :)

Hen Party on Saturday but you wouldn't believe the hassle involved. Out of 12 people, I'm still waiting for 8 to give me their menu choices!

No way that's outrageous, are they evening only or day guests? Our evening only don't mess up the seating arrangements and we're not ordering extra food as there should be enough to go around (it's buffet style so lots) - or is yours a set meal per head etc? Cannot believe with 2 weeks notice they let you know they were available - who books a holiday that late anyway??

Day guests! She told me back in March that they were booking for the same week and said she couldn't come, but to leave it until now is mad!
The food is a buffet but my friend is doing it (as a prezzie) and my cousin and her hubby are veggies and I'd have to get her to do an extra quiche or flan which wouldn't be the end of the world but my friend also runs her own restaurant and I feel guilty! Sorry for waffling but very annoyed! Added problem is that her mother and brother are going to be there so she will know it was only a buffet!!!
Perhaps I could strap a shotgun to my leg and get rid of the annoying members of my family as a prezzie for H2B!

Also I've had to do a seating plan for the church because at my sisters I ended up sitting near the back when my seat was taken by my mother's in-laws! And they will be at the back as it's too difficult to re-do, not to mention the reception seating, I'm going to have to start again aren't I?

Oh no! Nightmare - I was just thinking of marking the front so many rows as family only, both my brothers are ushers so they'll be at the front with my mum anyway. If they're only a 2, is it easy to just put them on a random table somewhere? I have immediate family at the front, cousins etc more towards the front/middle and friends/colleagues at the back :-)

It's more annoying than anything!
But with regards to the church the day is, apart from 6 people, all family or those thought of as family. My cousins and I (except for this one) always talk all the time. I have 7 coming down nearly 200 miles that I haven't seen face to face for 8 years but talk to all the time on fb or the phone. Her brother and his wife are my witnesses!
Perhaps I should plan the first 3 rows and then fill up from each side equally?
God knows what to do about the reception :(

My Dad came over this evening and told me that his gf won't be coming to the wedding, she may come to the evening but may not.
I wish he would have told me earlier save me stressing about the table plan but at least he has told me now, I'm absolutely over the moon! Now I can concentrate on enjoying my day rather than worrying about who is saying what to who.
Think my Dad also feels releaved lol, he can let his hair down now and not feel like he has to be with her all night because no one else likes her.

Saw my cars last night and paid for them so very happy!
Got annoyed at one of my bridesmaids as have had to buy another dress from Debenhams for her because she put on weight so when her size comes in I can get a refund and exchange it for the one I have!!!!! Grief :(
On a happy note almost everyone is paid. Final details being gone over with the venue and videographer Wednesday, chair covers being paid for next week, have my hen do on the 28th till 3rd June and then my dress fitting on June 6th.
Almost all sorted although last minute changes mean I have to adjust the table plan and numbers slightly.
All in all I seem to be getting things done. And as per usual I have all the stress and Rob has none. The joys of being a bride!!!!

god i really wish i had only picked one bridesmaid now and rob's niece as everyone else has just been awkward or stressing me out!
Plus I was really upset last night - Air Mauritius have messed up our holiday plans by saying they are no longer flying out from Heathrow on the date we booked and so Virgin Holidays want to cut our stay short by 2 nights. I was straight on the phone to them. Hopefully it is good news when they call me back Monday that they can give us an alternative flight on the original date (because there is one) otherwise I will be asking them for Air Mauritius' number to call them direct and ask them what they are playing at. Who changes flights with 5 weeks notice knowing people book transport to airports and book time off work. I can't move my wedding to be closer to the date I fly. I only booked the holiday because it was going from Heathrow on that date. I would have booked something else otherwise. It has really annoyed me and now I have something else to be worrying about when this should be the one thing I shouldn't have to deal with. I paid enough for Virgin Holidays to take that pressure off me and it still isn't going perfectly to plan. So i have had a stressful week!
It sounds awful but I really just want this wedding to be over in a way so I don't have to deal with all the crappy fiddly bits near the day. It's more hassle than it's worth :(

Oh Lainee! Poor you- you could do without it so near to the wedding. Really hope you get it sorted. We have 11 days left now and today his mum presented us with a beautiful wedding chest filled with gorgeous little things for us and our home to start our married life together. 13 days to go, cake stand is now constructed and after my final fitting on Saturday, the dress is perfect and I was able to take it back to my mum's!! Definitely starting to feel real now...
