I found some shoes in M&S in the end, they only had size 4 in store but going to go back after delivery and get the other size, or maybe order them online.

My face is clearing up now so I'm getting back on the wedding train and going to get things sorted.

I did the tableplan last night in 2 mins! I need to write the place cards, not sure when to do them as the ink may fade. We are having a long table down the middle of the room for the wedding breakfast as just family only had one dilemma of where to place my dad's girlfriend, my brother in law to be's girlfriend knows her and she agreed to take on that responsibility so feeling better about that.

Well apart from finishing off the order of service, I have done absolutely nothing this week, oops!

Well not entirely true, went out to meet my friend wednesday and painted the toilets in her new restaurant! lol, got to the stage where I'd really had enough and needed a little break. But am meeting with the best man tomorrow for him to try on his waistcoat so I better sew the buttons on, lmao xx

    5 weeks tomorrow girlies!

Woohoo! Had a totally productive weekend, paid off the florist, the church flower group and the suit hire - chose the necktie colours for the ushers and best man, had my final dress fitting and also had the final logistics meeting with the reception venue. Taking H2B tonight to get his wedding ring resized as he's using his granddad's ring, and we only have 9 centrepieces left to make as we made 3 last week in less than 2 hours! Feels like we're getting there now

39 days to go for me! My mum just sorted the cars out today, our BM dresses aren't getting finish until 2 weeks before as they are handmade and will be getting perfectly fitted.

At the moment I don't know what to do anymore! Just a waiting game now! Its a strange feeling... I feel like its so close but feel like its never going to happen!

We're slowly paying everything off now, suits and cars are paid off and everything else has to be paid by 2 weeks before so it just feels like we're waiting now with very little left to do!

My only worry is that my dress went awol and won't be in the shop until 15th May so my first fitting is booked on 19th May with a 2nd fitting on the 26th! Hope it fits first time! My bridesmaids aren't having their fitting until the 20th May either so all that is obvioulsy supposed to be last minute!?

My Mum still needs to buy herself a top too, but we're managed to narrow it down to 3 out of about 25 I sent her pictures of! No chance she was going to wear a dress and I would rather she felt comfortable and happy on the day than was wearing what is traditional so she's bought a lovely pair of black trousers and just need a lovely top and some jewellery to top it off :)

I'll have to have a look at some simple decorations to go on each tier so I can put them on myself. Can you buy pre-made sugar craft roses, mini ones?

I'm also thinking of M&S and not just as an emergency cake! They look great online and the reviews are amazing. If you sort the reviews by lowest rating first you get the worst of it but most reviews say they're great. There's an M&S I can collect from just a few mins walk from my venue.
As long as you can transport it properly then should be fine. Just consider the type of cake - the white choc ones look great but they might melt and lean over if your venue is warm inside! xx

Yes you can buy sugar roses, contact your nearest cake supplies shop as they can get them in various colours, or try online if you have time :-)

The wedding I'm not so panicked about, it's the time till I finish work on the 30th that's freaking me out a bit - only 20 more work days!! (I have friday off) - Once that's passed we'll have had the final event planning meeting with the caterers, worked out our first dance, finished our sweet tree centrepieces and had the church rehearsal - OMG!!

We spoke to our humanist guy on saturday and chose a hand fasting ceremony and now it seems so real. H2B is so worried about the guests enjoying themselves. I am just worried about how ill look lol

We've got £1000 for the venue, £870 for the honeymoon, £75 for the cake, £240 for kilts and £165 for flowers to pay and then we'll be done. Just need to put my decorations together and make favour boxes. Oh and make sure I look ok :-) Got some underwear and make up yesterday - just need a sexy outfit for the wedding night :-)

Thankfully all the money has been set aside to pay these things off. So we shall be fine - Im just worried cos I cant remember if I said Id pay for the bridesmaids hair trials....Which will be £110 including my hair. So that will make me quite skint, is it ok to ask them to contribute to the trial do you think?

Argh I just told a girl at work that it's only 3 more whole weekends and then the wedding will be here!! arghh!

Dance wise we're not doing a proper dance routine but I've organised 2 hours of dance tuition so we can get used to dancing, as we usually just both do comedy moves when we've been on a night out - not exactly elegant and memory making!

Haha, I know how you feel. My man doesnt drink and therefore refuses to dance most of the time (he reckons he cant dance without a drink...) so we hardly ever dance together. I suggested going for tuition as I worked with a guy who ran classes but he said no. Our first dance is not going to be much more than us stepping together and cuddling. I so wanted to teach him how to waltz as well.

3 weekends. Wow when you put it like that it is a bit scary. Are you pretty well organised?

Just paid off my caterers today and am having the final meeting with them for event planning logistics on 19th May - centrepieces will start again next week and I'll make the seating plan cards as we've finalised who's sitting where. Then it's just the church fees to pay at the rehearsal, my hair and make up on the day and my alterations, and food for the family party we're having the day after to pay off. We're off to Germany for the weekend, so no wedding activities until next week now - then it'll only be 3 more weekends to go till the wedding - can't believe it's a month today!!

I had my hen this weekend 'cos it was the bank holiday so that any friends that were travelling to come still had some weekend to themselves and it meant I could have a 2 day hen without anyone having to rush off 'cos they had to wor on Monday. Plus I had yesterday to clean and tidy the house again, lol.

H2B had his stag a month ago over Easter weekend, just in case they did something to him (like shave an eyebrow off) so he had time to put it right again before the wedding.

I had mine 6 weeks before the wedding but this was because I had to organise around friend's exams, holidays etc.

Wedding is now 3.5 weeks away and I've just had a last minute tizz about my hair - had a trial in Liverpool in March where I was happy with the first style so said that was fine, but only saw it the one way. I live in Bristol so have just called the hairdressers where I can have a trial with them this weekend in case there's some other style that I want instead, then will take pictures and show to the Liverpool hairdresser so they know what to do! Arghh!

The hen I'm having this week is the un-official one, the official one is 1st & 2nd June fitted in well with the bank holidays so people had time to recover and I also have all of that week off so will be able to get things sorted.

That sounds crazy bridalmiss, make sure you get some good pics.

I am now starting the list of things to be completed, quite a few! The registrar just scared the living daylights out of me leaving me a voicemail saying we still had £229 to pay, called her back straight away! We paid all the fees when we gave notice so I know we don't owe them anything, all sorted now. She did apologise for scaring me half to death!
