I think it's because it still hasn't sunk in yet, even though we just got back from having our final meeting with our duty manager at the venue. Sounds like everything's super-organised from their end which is good. I really need to get some things done today so I'm not running around at the last minute either! x

Well managed to get favours and order of service finished today, just place cards left to do. Within the last week, I've had three people say that they aren't coming for some reason or another, one being my grandad which has really upset me as he's my only grandparent left. Despite crying on the phone to him today, he still insists he's not coming as he's fallen out with my aunty. I daren't replace him yet though as he is one for changing his mind at the very last minute but that also makes it hard for me to bump anyone up as it might not be enough notice...argghh! C x

thats awful about your grandad :( have you tried telling him thats its your day? its very selfish of him to upset you just because he has fallen out with another family member. he should be going for you, not anyone else :(
my grandad and auntie had a massive set to the other day which resulted in my auntie walking out, and my grandad being well and truely put in his place by my mum and grandma. so much so he ignored them both for a week!
but the air has been cleared for the wedding.
i dont know your family so cant advise anymore :( but just try explain that its really hurtful that he wont come to support and watch you get married because he has fallen out with someone else who will be there :(

have you tried the other way? telling them they both are unwelcome if they won't compromise? i know your grandad probably won't mind as hes already said hes not coming but might make them think? :(

Everyone's winding me up now! I haven't been stressed at all, but now the ushers, bridesmaids etc are all getting panicky about having to do things on the day- considering even H2B hasn't done anything to help me I'm getting annoyed that they're moaning about having duties on the day when I'm done absolutely everything myself so far! I've written out a detailed list with the few things I'd like them to do (eg hand out order of service) and it's all proving too much for them! Considering I'll be setting up all the decorations etc I can't believe they're getting worried about helping me with just a few things!

clbronze tell them they have no choice. It is their duty and honour to help you on the day. Thye are called bridesMAIDS for a reason. make sure the girls know their place and help you on the day. It's not some jolly for them, their first worry should be you and your happiness. Lay down the law!!

Thanks nearlymrswilson. You're right. Actually BMs being quite good now, H2B thinking of not having the ring bearer, flowergirl and pageboy walk down the aisle and d their bit incase they just play around or get it wrong- who cares?!? Just let them do want they want and be cute!! Everyone seems to be getting more stressed than me- ushers, parents, etc- I've done the hard work and all they have to do is turn up and do what the toastmaster tells them- I don't see the problem!! Not long at all, getting exciting now! Just had facial, massage, mani, pedi and eyebrow wax and feel human again! xx

I have the same problem MrsShawToBe, the table plan can be done, but I just can't bring myself to do it.. thing is if we do it we can tick it off! Oh well it will get done. I have to: Make table plan Make table names Meet photographer next weds/write list of photos List of songs - finalised and give to DJ Banners and balloons Centrepieces - ring lady Pack for honeymoon Meet with venue - numbers and pay Meet vicar Friday wrap gifts
Then week of: Collect suits, cake, balloons, BM dresses (pay alterations), get nails done.

Well just quickly popped on to see how we're all getting on. I'm still not stressed or excited but I have got my a*** in gear and have finished all waistcoats and am sat here hemming up the final dresses!
H2B finally bought his suit on monday and tbh as long as me and him are clothed I couldn't care less!
With 2 days left everyone seems to be more worried about themselves than how I'm getting on. My mother hasn't asked anything about the wedding and didn't even show up with my step-dad for the rehearsal so if she tries to take any credit for the day, she's bang out of luck!
Well the weather looks ok, cloudy but not the torrential rain I was supposed to have but it does say it may rain in the evening. I've bought the biggest umbrella I could find so not bothered what it does now!
Well must get on, good luck if I don't catch up with you before xx

Well good job I went to see the cake because the colours are all wrong barring the icing! They've stuck on artificial flowers instead of iced ones...could've cried but the lady has reassured me that it will all be fixed for Saturday! C x

2 days to go...weather's not looking great and found out last night Mum approved an extra guest so I've been sat up since 6 having to re-jig the table plan, contact the caterers to hire an additional chair etc, not happy!! Can't blame my Mum though as she was shouted at when the person wanting to come wasn't invited so in shock she said it was ok - it's my uncle's mother in law and we're not even related, arghh!!

Table Plan is done, name placecards as well, I just need now to practice our first dance a lot, and confirm booking with everybody and call DJ to give him my playlist, and think about my speech, and try and relax most of all.

me and dad bumped into someone he used to work with today and they both kept saying it over and over that i need to remember to enjoy it and remember it etc, take everything in.
just make sure you get a few minutes no matter what just you and hubby to gather your thoughts and to take everything in :)
me and h2b have use of a hospitality room on a different floor where we'll get to go and open our cards probably after the elvis act :)

Suits paid for and everything is pretty much done. Just need to make order of the day cards and pay the florist next week, collect my dress and finalise arrangements with our toastmaster. Oh and I need to finish my surprise for Rob by buying a picture frame. Anyone know where I can get a really nice one?
Then it's all systems go, get married, go on honeymoon and pay the photographer for his work when we get back!!!! So excited now! xxx

Rehearsal tonight! First full nights sleep I've had in a while and I have a bad dream regarding the rehearsal and wedding!
Dreamt that we invited 100's of guests to the rehearsal and hardly anyone turned up to the actual day! And h2b saw me all dressed up before he should have and I was really upset etc.
Actually woke up and had to think how many people are coming to the rehearsal tonight! Haha
Feel really strange about tonight.. its at 8 and I kind of feel like its a drama play?!

Did you know it's actually good luck not to dream of your actual wedding. I keep having weird dreams about other people getting married or some weird party in another venue. One of my wedding dreams I was sat in a wedding dress watching my friend give birth in the hospital! freaky :S
Anyways all good news starting to happen and not feeling stressed one bit anymore! Just need to finish Rob's surprise. Might go shopping at lunchtime after my dress fitting. Hope nobody at work minds lol xxx

Just A4 to accommodate a letter! I should be able to get one probably in Wilkinson so I will have a quick look after work, or maybe in Debenhams as I get an extra 10% off sale prices in there because of the fact we have our gift list set up with them!
Either way it has to be really nice as he will want the letter framed. I got his football club who he supports (Tottenham Hotspur) to send us a letter so I think he will be well chuffed! x

The nerves hit me today! I thought that once I get to this 3 day week it will feel really close..and it does! I have next week off so Friday is my last day at work for 3 weeks, I feel in a bit of a bubble of nerves excitement and days blurring past me.
Just 10 days to go..and I still have things to do that I wanted out the way by now :( oh well MOH arrives Saturday for the week so I will have to have it all done by then as I want a relaxing week next week. xx
