Evening ladies, I had my 1st make up trial yesterday and it was awful! Really don't know how she passed her course. She also did my nails ready for my hen this weekend and i have never ever seen such a mess! It took her 3 and a half hours to do just my nails! I really didn't have the heart to tell her I didn't like any of it as she is my sisters best friend. Now tomorrow I am going to have to go to town to get them re done. I cried when she left here last night :(
I have now left it down to my sister to tell her i don't want her for the wedding.

Shoes sorted. Ordered mine and BMs from a well known high street retailer that still does wedding stuff, 30 each and different colours but matching. Free delivery too, gone for store delivery as would have to go to post office anyways! Can't wait 4 to 10 days. Yay!

I know, I just hope they fit and are comfy, I'm usually really good at this game of shoe buying, so fingers crossed.

Rags I sat down the other week and done a massive list of everything.

Basically ive done it in chronological order of things that need done ie pay off rings - 1st feb, send of registrar paperwork - 8th feb

Then Ive went through the day right from getting up in the morning and wrote down everything that will need to be done ie Hair, make-up, breakfast, who is greeting guests, who is ensuring photographer meets the list of wanted shot we ask for etc and tracks down the right people,

By doing it that way I was them able to go back and add things that I remembered when prompted by something else ie someone to have envelope to pay piper, handing out gifts - so i went back and added myself a deadline to buy gifts by etc

Its pretty darn vomit inducing when you are doing it and you think you have millions to do but I was so comprehensive and pedantic in the list that I feel a lot easier - yes ive had to add a few more things as Ive gone along but each time I highlight something in green when its done and dusted you feel so much better!

79 days!! Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Just pre booked my bouquet preservation, good price too! THINK we may have found a band also, fingers crossed.

Hi Ladies!

Make up trial is booked for 6th March (first day that I can get off work!) just need to get underwear, H2B needs his cravat and shoes (but is being like a girl pondering what to get-lol!) and we need to finish paying for the flowers. Banns are being read from this Sunday! Exciting times ahead!

Can't wait for the weather to get a bit nicer. H2B said in passing yesterday that it's been known to snow in April before!! Sure it won't for us though! :0) xx

Hey all!

Well i had my meeting with the rector and the local dean and the florist in the last few days! oh and it was my birthday yesterday... I've been a busy girl! so the ceremony is almost sorted i just need to confirm reading and hymns. The banns are being read out from the 4th March, and all the flowers are now paid for yay!I have the bridesmaid dress fittings and our hair trials on the 25th of this month, so that will be another couple of things ticked off. I have been getting quite a few RSVP's lately too, so i am getting quite excited.
It's my hen do this saturday 11th so i am looking forward to that too, whoo!
Oh and i have to tell you what H2B arranged for my birthday because it was so thoughtful! He booked me into a spa to have a destress and unwind treatment! I had a back shoulder and neck massage, a purity facial and a pedicure, it was lovely and so appreciated, he knows i have been getting stressed with the wedding planning and wanted to do something to help me! I love him soo much! This is why i am marrying him. He's PERFECT for me. :) xx

Hey Girlies - How are we all?

Dreading what my countdown counter is going to change to tomorrow

Money is all cleared and transferred from our savings account so I think by the end of this week we will have paid 95% of the wedding which is scary (I just want to book some flights to Australia and disappear lol)

Band is confirmed, Cake is confirmed, just ordered my bandeau veil and hair comb, and now I just need shoes to complete my outfit. Had decided upon 2 pairs of Irregular Choice and was going to get h2b to bring them home so i could try them on and decide but believe it or not i fell in love with a pair in Sainsburys today which are a third of the price!! Going to sleep on what to do.

I had a package deal which was for 70 adults - last week we finally got word that we were now 8 adults down grrrrrrr its not the fact they aren't coming that is a pain but the fact they feel incapable of letting you know and give stupid halfhearted excuses!!

Our contract says that childrens meals aren't included in package but I emailed the venue and as we are having same meal fro kids they have said they are happy to reduce the childrens meal balance by how many adults we are short. Saved £75 but every little helps lol

lol funnily enough none of my bunch refused free food, drink and entertainment!

Checklists really help - do what i did and sit down with calander and plan for day and break everything down by hour if need be to make up your list xx

oh i tried my table plan!! was such hard work i gave up!! are you putting people with their families or splitting them up so they sit with their patner than say 3 other couples they dont neccassirily know?? table plan is y far the hardest bit!! i just went through loads of checklists and have a lis of 30 things so far!!! things like buy presents, decide on readings, vows, buy flowergirls accessories, order cake, cake knife things like that. so many things!!

Have rough idea in my head of table plan and already know a few tables quite easily.

I am worrying about the mixing of the families as me and h2bs families are worlds apart! Going to be a giggle lol

H2bs uncle is a Tory MP who is rather (very) stuck up and just for the craic I'm thinking of putting him with my 2 uncles who are staunch labour and ex servicemen!

Ive got a table of 8 12-17 year olds - now that's where im guessing the party will be at lol!
