Hey Girls - hands up and I had completely forgot about this thread and i am rubbish at bookmarking!
11 weeks and 5 days (82 days sounds further away lol)
Well im nowhere near ready and im now very panicky and stressy. No timings for all the things before ceremony commences yet but im hoping its done this week.
Cancelled Hen as noone seemed interested plus my mum now needs to have spinal surgery in Feb so I just thought id minimise the hassle and worry for everyone.
Hoping to book Spa at the venue for the day before the wedding for a Spa/Afternoon Tea for just a few of my family girls.
Going to see my dress next week so I can remind myself what its like then I need to shake a tail feather and buy accessories, shoes, underwear and get appointment made for alterations.
Keep looking at my To Do List and feeling

I know that feeling hun. We are April 21 and there is SO much to do and PAY FOR. Hen weekend so far has been a nightmare changing from this to that and the other. Feel like cancelling, but my sister won't let me. Sorted my dress it fits but I am having serious doubts about it now, with no time to source another (or money).
Am also hoping for spa day - God I need it.
It'll all be alright on the night as they say
Here comes the bride......

Rocketqueen I feel your pain with the hen do and still having lots to pay. Getting married on the 2nd, getting really nervous now!! x
My hen do is the ONE THING I have left to someone else to sort out. I know NOTHING about it and it is GREAT! All I have to do is turn up and get stuck in :o)

You're so lucky! I'm trying not to be involved, but when other people are making my CB feel like crap, I dont think its fair
CommentAuthorTinsel
Well, my MOB/CB (not sure which she is lol!) is my sister and takes no sh!t from anyone lol! She sent them messages on FB; three said they couldn't come (one has two kids, one has her birthday that weekend and the other can't afford it) so I've got only seven now, but according to my friend, thanks to what my sister has booked, it's going to be an amazing weekend!

Aww thats nice :) my CB is my BiL2B's girlfriend. She's worked where I work for about 6 months now and sort of knows everyone, but cos she doesn't really know many that I've wanted to come, I think shes holding her tongue. We have 8 coming to the afternoon part (whatever that turns out to be) and a few more for a meal and clubs, so hopefully it'll be brilliant!
When are you having yours? x

Morning all, I had my first weigh in at weight watchers yesterday and I have lost 4lb in a week, I am so pleased with myself :) I have my first make up trial Tuesday coming then hair 2 weeks later, feeling quite calm about everything at the moment but I am sure that will fade, lol. Xx

Sat down and came up with a plan for the hen tonight. Now looking back through kind of wish the plan was a DVD and a glass of wine, but we can see what the response is. Just hope we can take charge of this or people will be expecting to do stuff and finding out that all the tickets have gone!

My MoH is planning my hen night to be a complete surprise! All I know is that it is on 31st March.
Catbud I want to get my fittings up and running asap - we're getting married the week after you. So excited to see our countdown go to 99 days today! I want to try and lost at least 1/2 a stone before my fitting though, and we're not near my boutique until Feb so fingers crossed! Xx

Hey Girls - well thats me now under 80 days!
Mini munch hasn't been to well this week so haven't accomplished much else and ill not be able to do much more wedding stuff till Tuesday now.
Come Tuesday im going to be on here in massive panic lol.
Saving grace is that ive done an updated costings and budgeting spreadsheet and we can now pay everything off without h2b slaving away doing any overtime or anything. Most things aren't due till the beginning of March but think we will pay it all next week and then will hopefully feel that stress is off.

We have paid a few more bits off this week - paid for all the chair covers and sashes, some disposable cameras, wedding insurance, travel insurance, centrepieces, bits for the sweet table. We chose some drapes for venue (which we weren't going to have) and on Monday we are buying the rings.. so feel a bit more organised now. Our deadlines are mid March which is causing some panic, as there's only 2 paydays until then eeeeek.
My sister is MOH and is organising my hen - originally it was a good friend but I think it all got too much for her and recently she handed duties to my sister who lives 100miles from me so it's been a challenge for her to organise. I get the odd text saying so and so can't come etc which stresses me! I know it's the 23-25 March and I know we're staying in Birmingham. I had said I wanted a spa day but I think it became too expensive for most. To be honest I am wishing we just had chosen a nice lunch to avoid stress!!!
Been off work for 2 weeks and back in tomorrow on a nightshift :( means wedding planning will slow down once I'm back on the nights.
Lisa123 well done on your weight loss!! I have lost 3lb this week which is fab, but I need to gain some muscle as I have a bit of skin on my bag overhanging when I put my dress on - so need to tone up! It's not fat as there's plenty of room. So annoying. Also want to tone up these bingo wings!! Munchkinpie - under 80 days?? Exciting!! But I imagine it's scary also.

thanks rocketqueen, 3lb is fab too, try doing sit ups whilst watching a tv soap everynight and weight lifting with a can of beans in each hand, you should be able to see the difference in a couple of weeks, we paid another £800 of our reception yesterday, then got home to my pay slip to see that i had an unexpected £355 bonus so that will be going off it today :) had a count up last night and the total we have left to spend out is £1300 so i am really pleased with that, out of that is £300 to the church which the vicar said to do cheque on the rehursal and £400 to the photographer which he doesnt want it untill albums are complete and we get pics so dont have to worry about too much, i can realax and enjoy the run up :)

H2B called the church this week to confirm the final amount. We thought £300 and they said £392!! The organist and some other random charge that H2B couldn't remember. Luckily we had £200 'spare' in the wedding saver so that will cover it.
91 days for me. So excited!xx

Wow march, we have to pay everything up by 1st week in feb. lucky you.
I made myself feel better today, the dress that no one knows I have got (yes I'm still running the line of oh I'll get it the week before the wedding) is in the window of a wedding dress shop, so I snuck in today and rather cheekily asked how much it was.....dun dun der( insert drum roll) £1495 and that's at a reduced price, I (rather smugly and proudly) paid £595 yay. Dances around the room!

its now 3 months to the day that we get wed, where has the time gone, and hopefully the next 3 months will pass just as quickly. so excited for my hen next week, brought supplies of paracetomol yeasterday, lol.

Wow I just googled those pills and starting telling H2B about them and he said that they were originally developed by the KGB so that they could stay sober whilst appearing to be drinking and their subject would be getting drunker and spilling secrets....but it didn't work that way-the KGB got just as drunk but had no hangover when they woke up!

Most of my invites are out, but I only have 4 rsvps.
My friend has told me about a mobile hairdresser - hope I can book her.
Been thinking about presents for the attendants.... Is it ok to get silver plated necklaces or should I spend a bit more and get them silver? Price difference £1.99 to £9.99 and there's 5 to get?
Also got BMs bracelets but can I ask them to ar their own necklaces?

Rags our son is our pageboy and he'll be 4 on the wedding day. We're getting him a little teddy with a jumper on, and on the jumper it's got PageBoy, his name and the wedding date.
Silver plated is fine so long as they don't sweat or their necks will go green! We're having ours made for our bridesmaids, silver chains with a silver heart hanging from it, and a little gem/bead hanging next to it.
Our invites are *almost* all out - I need to hit the post office tomorrow and get the rest of them out.

Just wanted to check if anyone else is at the stage where you just want to throw the towel in and cancel the whole thing? H2bs family are really getting to me which isn't entirely new but I just cant be doing with it anymore and its actually starting to ruin my excitement and enthusiasm.

Munchkinpie. I completely know the feeling. No one in H2B family actually sent their RSVP back to us. It wasn't hard or anything. They all live near to us and we included a RSVP card for everyone. In the end we had to ring them up and ask if they were coming or not. I don't understand why people are like this for. Even his mum and dad didn't reply!

Well off to see my dress tomorrow - starting to think what I have in my head isnt what Ive actually bought.
The only picture is the one advertising it on the internet and I hate it - lol its not the dress I bought if that makes sense.
Nonetheless because I didn't take any pictures of my own I'm worried I have imagined something else and I'm now panicking that I don't like my dress. I need to buy shoes, underwear, decide on hairpiece etc but I know what I like and need to check what I have is what im envisaging in my head and the accessories I want with compliment it.
Am I making sense or just in early stages of a breakdown??

I need to bustle my dress? How do you do that? Oh well!
I need to book make up trial - I am only going to well known cosmetic counter and getting them to teach me.
And most of the time I'm ok with the wedding, but then I think what I could be spending the money on, or one of the parental people peeeees us off!

Rags I only booked Hairdresser and Make-up people last week. Only going on website and FB pics too and a kind of recommendation via someone. Wont get trials till few days before wedding either which isnt helpful but i cant justify £300/400 for a few days up in Glasgow right now to go meet them.
Funnily my parentals (great word) never seem to p me or h2b off unlike the out-laws ie h2bs family who manage to wind both us and our kids up! lol I think we are almost at the point of uninviting them and filling half our venue with randoms!! Anyone fancy a wedding on 8th April???

Lol Munchkinpie! I think family seem to think you will presume that they are coming.
I've been so calm and cool for the past months arranging and planning but am now starting to get stressed. H2B still needs shoes, a cravat and waistcoat. My dad still hasn't got his and my brothers suits either. When I told him that we needed the money that he promised to pay off the honeymoon by next week he was like "yeah I'll sort it" Don't tell me you'll sort it, give it to me NOW! Lol.
What do you mean by bustle your dress Rags?

It's quite a big one, and I got it from a sale shop, it fits perfectly length and size etc but for the night doo it will need hitching up so I don't fall over the train. If I got it from a normal shop and had alterations done I'd have been fine they'd have done it, but I saved £900 so I couldn't worry about little piddly details. I still might not bother...
