Thank you for the welcome girlies

Well its officially Day 5 of planning and to update IVE GOT A DRESS lol - I expected lots of heartache and tears and traipsing around but alas it was fun and dare I say easy as it seems the dress found me!

So we are cooking on gas - venue booked and deposit paid, registrar booked in provisionally and visiting when we travel up to Scotland in December, invites now half made with inserts printed and just waiting on the box envelopes to arrive for them and and the final bit of decoration and hoping to get those babies out by Saturday.

Im not having flowers as im not a big fan anyway plus I get awful hayfever so no point increasing my chances of puffy eyes and a dribbly nose on the day - making button and brooch bouquets for me and my 4 bridesmaids and then having table decorations based on those.

Are any of you not having transport? Our Ceremony and Reception are all in the one place and we will all be staying there the night before too so I just think its an unnecessary expense? The venue has beautiful gardens and a view point of Loch and Ben Lomond and if I wanted to actually have pictures taken by the Loch its only 5 mins in the car and id rather jump in my own car for 5 mins than spend a few hundred quid just for that? Mr P feels the same but worried our guests will think its odd?

Our venue also has a spa so when we visit in December Ill have a little taster and that could be hair/make up/massage etc all taken care of for the day.

Exciting! My invites turned up today and they're gorgeous. Like Kat said though, not looking forward to waiting for the RSVPs.

We're having a car but only because my mum wanted to pay for one as she paid for my sister to have one. Bridesmaids are going in my uncles car with a ribbon on the bonnet. They're ridiculously overpriced imo.xx

Sounds good Lisa. Going to Blackpool dressed as sailors on April 7th! 22 women and 2 gay men! My mums idea but now everyones all excited I think it'll be a really good laugh.xx

I've got 2 cars for £499 boo can't mention which ones with this been a public forum - OH has a way with computers lol

Anyone else thinking OMG it's 25 days to Christmas, 30 to NYE then just 4 months before the big day?!!! Better get things sorted, still a bit to do! :0)

i brough my daughters flowergirl shoes yesterday, invites are being made within the next week or two, then its just to buy the favours which i think i am just going to do heart shaped chocolates, then thats me done :)

i have make up and hair trials in both january and march and 2 hen do's, one january and one in march so the time is really going to fly by.

Hi Ladies,

Just thought i'd check in and see how everyone is getting on! it's getting so close now :) after christmas its going to fly by eek! i sent out my invites this week and the men went and had their suit fittings today. i also have my dress and bridesmaids dresses. All i need to organise is hair and make up, sort out my passport, as we have booked the honeymoon under the married name... i wanted to be Mrs Stark hehe. And favours and gifts need to be bought, and finalise the flowers, but after that i'm pretty much done! I am getting so excited now! i keep looking at my dress, its sooo pretty! and it makes it all seem real. H2B keeps telling me off for playing with it so much! He hasnt seen it, but he knows what im doing when im upstairs for a while. I wasn't expecting to have my dress yet, but when the bridal store called and said it was in i went in to try it on and it fit perfectly! I was over the moon!Next is the Hen night, i'll be spending mine in Birmingham on the 11th Feb, I dread to think what the girls will get me doing, but its exciting not knowing.

one month today I pay for my flowers and honeymoon then 2 months today my flowers will arrive lol 2 weeks til xmas then the 3 weeks til the madness begins for us all xx

I know it's crazy! Exciting though, i bought my diary for the new year and it's pretty much jam packed from january to march already with things to do and appointments.

Eek!! I am so excited... If you didn't already know! lol xx

I bet the next few weeks fly by too with all the final planning to do. I don't know what i'm going to do with myself once the wedding has gone by! Lol x

pay flowers off

i think thats it :-/

yeah get to put the final order in on my flowers this month and also have my final dress fitting before it's sent away to be cleaned :)

Ahhhhhh mines less than 3 months away now, I'm slightly worried that I've missed lots of things out :o( I've only just booked the hair trials today, I need a checklist HELP. I'm with stressed to max b2b my spirit is dying and I need it back asap! X

hi all, well last night me and h2b adressed all of our invites and rsvp's so as soon as they are ready which should be early next week they will be sent :)

seems so much more real now, all of our gifts are bagged up.

the only thing we have to do is make up the favours, which have all been brought so not too hard and make up the childrens goody bags.

we have 1500 to pay off the reception and 300 for the church then thats it, full steam ahead, lol.
i have my hen weekend in just 2 weeks time so i can really let my hair down then enjoy the dress fittings and hair/make up trials.

i am going to an over 18's weekend at butlins, its looking really good with shola ama, dj luck and mc neat and a ministry of sound club night, i am so excited. the reason i am doing it so early is because my h2b gets a whole weekend off every 3 weeks and this date tied in with his weekend off so he will have the children. i am also having a local hen 6 weeks before the wedding.
yours will come around soon enough, cant believe we are getting married in just over 3 months!!

It's 14 weeks for me, so it must be 13 weeks for you girls! I cant believe how quickly its all going now! i just have the wedding party gifts to buy hair and make up trial and the girls need alterations on their dresses as they decided to lose weight, Lol!and then pay the venders and it will all be done. I'll be done and completed by beginning of march and then it'll be the waiting game.

It's still crazy to think that at this time in 14 weeks i will be married and at my evening reception...Suitably merry too i hope, because the first dance will be coming up and i am DREADING it! The thought of 200 people stood watching me and stuart dance is a little daunting.

Is there anything that you are worried about?

Hair trial in 2 weeks and a meeting with the vicar to sort the readings and hymns. Cannot wait!!xx

24th Mar - Hen party 2
7th Apr - Hen party 3
19th Apr - THE BIG DAY

o and between now n then I only have 4 weekends to myself

My timetable is still a little bit sketchy but will go something like this:

9am-Relaxing bath and something slow releasing for brekkie
12pm-Hair and make up for me, mum and 5 bridesmaids
2.30pm-Get ready
3.40pm-Bridesmaids to leave for church
3.50pm-Me to leave for church-eek!
4.00pm-Ceremony
4.45pm-Photos and people making their way to reception (2 min drive or 10 min walk)
5.30pm-Me and him time (ride around in 60's Cadillac-our wedding car!)
5.45pm-Arrive at reception
6.15pm-Buffet starts
7.00pm-Evening guests start to arrive (enough food for them if they fancy)
7.15pm-Speeches
7.50pm-Cake cutting and first dance
8.00pm-PARTY until midnight!
