i am getting married 21st april, so so exciting now.
everything is booked, just need to pay off the reception and suits then we are done :)

Thank you. We haven't really had a lush holiday the whole time we've been together, so this will be really special.

We're flying with Emirates from Glasgow to Singapore via Dubai.

Then staying at the Shangri La in Singapore for five nights.





Then we're going to Kuala Lumpur and visiting Sepang F1 circuit.

After that we're going to visit Penang with a pilgrimage to the Leith Street Bar. Then on to Langkawi:



From there we're planning to take a speed boat across the border to Koh Lipe (where they have an immigration control in a shack on the beach). We're planning to stay in an eco-hotel on the beach which has a honeymoon suite called "The Big Lebowski" and to go snorkelling and scuba diving:





From there we're to travel to Hua Hin and checking into a Pool Villa at the Six Senses Hideaway for a whole week:


(The pool is for us and us only. I fully intend to be skinny dipping a fair bit!)



We'll then finish our trip in Bangkok with two nights in the Royal Orchid Sheraton:







Then we fly home. All in all we're away for 24 days!

I'm really excited today-no particular reason! Time just seems to be flying by!!

I did have a dream the other night that i was getting married this Saturday coming and we haven't finished paying for things and i was really panicked! Not looking forward to anymore of those dreams!

My fiance and his best man are definitely excited. They talk about the wedding when I leave them to have guy time. :-D

G's been trawling the internet for the perfect ghillie brogue/boot crossover.

We are getting excited although we have decided to change where we are getting married, it was supposed to be the registry office but we both want to feel really married so have decided to go with a church wedding after all.

My brother and his family are coming over this weekend and going to take the kids for the suit fittings and then my sil who is also my moh are going to choose flowers.

Oh dear I have a bad feeling, I went to meet the caterer (who im hoping is going to do the buffet for the reception.) Nearly 3 weeks ago and he said he would put some ideas and a price in the post and i havent heard anything, I have called the place and left messages.

It is the same problem i had with other caterers, as the reception is on a boat we can only have a cold buffet but it has limited space so food would be spread all over the boat.

Im now wondering what the heck to do next.

No Kate they are near the venue which is an hour away, I have called the local college but as its in easter half term they cant do anything.

My mum has suggested we do picnic bags for everyone!! lol

Kylee - be thankful hasn't cashed the cheque and then not answering that would have been worse!

nelly - picnic bags are a good idea just remember you'll have to get them to the venue the day before so your not rushing and neither is anyone else!

Oh im now strating to stress big time we have soooooooooooo much to do,

Get a caterer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! still cant find one who wants to do it.
Make the invites,
decide on flowers
decide on the favours and make them
make the bridesmaid dresses
possably even make all the food for the buffet if the catering thing doesnt happen.
plus anything else that i have forgotten

not to mention christmas soon, then sons birthday and h2b 40th birthday 2 weeks before and easter the weekend before lol
Think i need to get more organised. x

List of things left to do:
pick cake design
pick grooms suits (jan 11 as advised by shop)
send remaining invites out b4 xmas
have some time to myself if i get a wknd off - everyone's booked me until the week b4 chrimbo
finish the favours
taste the food at venue & pick drinks for the amended package
PAY OFF everything :'( - this bit i don't like ha-ha

@ Lisa - I got my BM hoops of bay of e along with the bags :)
@ nelly don't worry petal it slots into place quite quickly once you start again. I made all my own invites and making table plan etc saves so much money!

This year xmas is cancelled esp if it's anything like last year! Also told everyone were not getting presents so not to feel offended but even a £20 gift card for everyone soon adds up

kylee, we were going to send our invites out after christmas but have now decided to send them before, main reason being, if people cant come and let us know early enough we can then invite others, we are limited to 80 guests for our sit down xx

kate, the 80 so far that we are inviting are all very close family, lol. there is no one at all that we dont see at least 4 times a month! and all family members! there is no way i could get married and not invite all my family,lol, wish i could at times! xx

oh bless you, apart from 4 cousins who live in ireland everyone else lives only a ten min drive fro me, i know i am very lucky,

you have no need to be lonely when you have all us brides here :)

Hi Girls - well as of yesterday im an April 2012 Bride-to-Be!
(bit of a change from March 2013)

We are getting married near Loch Lomond on Sunday 8th April.

We only decided to see if we could get a date closer on Thursday night and didnt get to speak to Venue till Saturday but its all working out well so far! Obviously budget will be a bit less but we didnt want to spend anymore than we kind of have at the minute plus big deciding factor is that we hope to emigrate to Australia next year so it can be our farewell party too hopefully.

You guys are all probably much more organised than me but we have managed to:

Venue - ceremony and reception - deposit paid
Registrar - Provisionally booked date and time
Invites - being made this week and we have bought all the crafty bits needed - hopefully post next week
Website - almost created
Dress - appointment tomorrow at a shop which holds stock of a few "big girly" dresses - been told its unlikely ill have time to order
one in so everyone keep fingers crossed :-s
Rings - waiting for popular company from here to get in touch

Brain hurts already and ive only just started ........how is everyone else getting on?
