We've booked Church Venue some dates have a 4 year waiting list! Band someone tried to book same date we'd put our names down for Cake - " " My dress Bm dress (Size 16's as there all size 8 - 10 now) Bought bits and bobs

Wow and I thought I was getting ahead of myself. LOL We've booked the venue for ceremony and reception Photographer I've found my dress but thought it was too early so havent bought it yet Found grooms and male attendants suits but their hire so we thouht wait a bit longer Entertainment Save the date cards and invitations have been ordered And wedding insurance

Some of the places i've been/ spoken to get surprised and say its early. they seem to find it funny thats why i havent done anything else. :(
I've been to places and they've said your never to early but I thought I was stupid for doing stuff now but to get what you want sometimes you have to book early my family thought it was to early until my grandad came with me to pay deposit on venue and she said theres a 4 year waiting list on some dates even i thought that was crazy! Lucky we're getting married november so it didnt matter x

That was lucky!! Most of the family are saying the same thing. They even thought it was too early to book the venue. Lately i've been thinking if it was too soon to buy wedding dress. I want to loose some weight before the wedding so am undecided. How soon should we go for the suit hire?

Getting married 26th May 2012. Have decided on everything I want, but offically done Venue Registars for venue Got excited and brought some table crystals and wedding favours. Going to sort our photographer and florist next month, then cake the month after... and getting my dress made xx

We're getting married 22nd September 2012 :) So far we've got:
Venue (Ceremony and everything at the hotel) Videographer Entertainment Photographer (hopefully will be finalised in the next couple of weeks) Chocolate fountain for evening do (first thing that was booked after the hotel lol got my priorities right lol) Guestbook
I'm currently looking at booking a musician(s) for the ceremony and pre-dinner drinks. Everything else I think I'm goin to leave til next year. H2b would like to get transport sorted but I don't know if it's too early for that or not. MIL has bought me a gorgeous box for my wedding shoes thats got our date on it and it says "These are not just any shoes, these shoes walked you down the aisle and danced your first dance as husband and wife." I love it :)

Were getting married 21st July 2012. Have booked church, venue, sorted flowers, bridesmaid dresses and my dress,the photographer, the dj and of course the chocolate fountain!! Have looked into other bits but nothing else is offical yet. xxx

i'm getting married 25th aug 2012 we've got the venue, registrar, cake, my dress sorted,wedding finances are now on hold til we've been on hols in sept now though ! then we'll be back to getting other things sorted, i still need to find and pre book a photographer that we are both happy with though. Suze n Tyson uve both been busy bees ! :)

Hi, I'm getting married early summer 2012, not sure when yet, (date is given because I had to!) Seeing our Minister at Church to think about dates, but hoping to go into teaching, but not sure yet, so don't know what dates I can use!! I haven't booked or bought anything yet, but we have our bridal party more or less completely sorted, with two best men, three bridesmaids, 2 baby page boys (will be 4yrs old in 2012) and a baby flower girl (will be 2yrs old! AWWW). When is the best time to start booking things do you think? Or does it depend on what you want?

Depends on what you want I think if i've seen it wanted it I've bought it in reason, I wanted a big wedding so if I've wanted it I don't want anyone else to book it and me be heart broken because I thought its to early I nealry lost out on my light curtain by a week and thats something I realllly wanted because I love lights however before i've booked anything i've looked around for cheaper alternatives I'm only a size 6 even after having a baby and when I tried my dress on it was still to big in size 6 and I'd only given birth 6 months earlier SUZ80 I was thinking about that the other week the place my H2B loves got shut down month ago because of debts but then it reopened but I dern't put any money down on them now =/ H2B just thought about suits from asda as this could be cheaper than hiring we've bought the ties from debenhams £5 each x

Oh my God, I feel so far behind. We are getting married on June 1st 2010 and haven't even decided our venue. We do have it down to 2 though that we want to look at again.... maybe we should get a move on.... Regarding everything else I haven't even looked into it as we wanted to get the venue sorted first, eek!

Ashleigh we were lucky, it was the second venue we went to see. Though i did do a lot of searching on the internet first. Having decided on a budget helped to eliminate the venues that would be too expnsive, and really left us with little choice. The 1st place we went to see was a desaster but it was a case of 2nd times the charm :) Once you get the venue sorted everything else falls into place. :)

i want to get married on the 2nd june 2012. we only decided on the date about 2 weeks ago so we have nothing booked yet. i rang the regitary office on friday and they told me i can book 12 months in advance! i feel like i cant plan anything until i have booked my date there x

27th jan 2012 for us got dress, suits, mum making cakes, daughter playing her flute for the wedding, venue, place cards on order accessories for me ie headress and favours just mens favours too get and transport to book now mates son-in-law doing photo's table dec's (plain flass pint glasses and filling them with choc hearts) so just about sorted just shoes and boys suits and bm dresses to get but as they all still growing cant get them till last min good luck with all ur wedding things i thought i was the only one getting married in 2012 seems sooooooooooooooooooooooooo far away

We are getting married on the 23rd June 2012: Venue deposit paid Minister booked for a 2pm ceremony Bridesmaids and bestman picked and asked :-) Personalised favour boxes and save the date magnets have been ordered. Piper booked via a friend super cheap
And that's us for now....few months off now to decide on our colour scheme xx

Bobbysgirl we always wanted a Saturday ceremony and also thought we were too early but once we found our venue. They only had 2 sats in June and 3 in Sept left for the whole of 2012 and were taking booking for 2013 so your never too early xx

Looking at photographers at the mo but my hubby to be keeps saying its too early!, how long do you leave it until you book them? i am gona attempt to make my own stationery as well (I'm not very creative!)

Venue and register booked, dress & petticoat could be delivered today (and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited), flowers paid for, found a new tiara but not bought yet, having jewellery made, photographer booked, favours sorted, meeting make up/hair lady next month, cake sorted.
in progress - I have chosen suits, bm dresses, bm hair pieces, ties chosen, dj and casino looking at right now, balloons chosen but might change my mind on centre pieces. Making invites. Not found shoes yet. Gifts chosen and wedding list company chosen. Chair covers chosen just got to send deposit. Veil possibly sorted, looking at my freinds next month

Hi Guys!!! We are getting married 21.07.2012 - only the church booked and my dress ordered lol so i know im getting married in a lovely dress in a church, not quite sure how im getting there and the other details lol Something I need help on though.....We are looking at a venue for the reception that has not done a wedding before. Do you think Im taking too much of a risk by orginazing it all myself for the venue. We have spoken to the venue and they say they are happy to give it a go but obviously its if we want to take the risk. 2012 is still 774 days away so they have plenty of time but what do you guys think????
