As some of you know we have been having some big problems with our venue recently... h2b is down there at the moment talking to the owner... I really hope he comes back with good news!!!

Hello, no, h2b was gone 3 hours, the owner didn't come back. He spoke to the function manager and they definately wont back down, we have said we really cont afford more than £1000 for the buffet (and that is really pushing it) he said he will do all he can for us, said he will e-mail me. H2b was in a foul mood last night and barely spoke to me... said its supposed to be happy not like this and he doesn't know if its all worth it. What am I supposed to say to that? fell like crap :(. H2b wants to go abroad on our own to get married now but I really dont want to, I've told him that I dont care where we are, it doesn't have to be a nice hotel or anything I just want to get married with our families there to celebrate with us.

It was all the waiting before but it turns out the bloke we were dealing with before was sacked and he left them with tons of problems... although thats not our problem we understand it isn't his fault so its a bit of a difficult situation all round. But hay ho... we're getting married so I'm now determined not to let this stuff get to me. x

Use the fact the he was sacked to your advantage. Tell them that you booked on the understanding of what he told you and that you have spent your budget accordingly. You don't expect them to be out of pocket but they need to be able to cater for your budget now. Fingers crossed it works out for you.

my word hun this sounds all a little bit of a disaster and none of it your fault i wouldnt stand for it if he comes back and says no, in the meantime no harm to get quotes from whereever else you can get married :) and least youll have them to hand if nothing can be done. Still keep your chin up :) xx
