So after alot of discussion and with heavy hearts my h2b and I have decided to wait another year to get married. Our finances are not giving any leeway to save at the moment.

Of Hun that isn't good to hear but you will it will be for the best look at it as a- the wait will make it all so much special when it does happen, b- you wont be starting married life worrying that you have over spent etc( fingers crossed anyway lol) c- you have long to enjoy us on here xxx

Think of it as a blessing... Everyone wants the day of their dreams so if it were me I'd rather wait a bit longer than have a half hearted day x

and the longer youre a member on here the more chances youll have of winning a power user prize (or even the win a wedding prize... tho i do have that prize earmarked for myself LOL... if only) which will help with the overall cost :D:D:D

i know how you feel, we have done exactly the same and instead of getting married next year we are going to wait until the year after. We really didn't want to put it off another year, but our fiances wouldn't stretch for next year to have everything that we wanted. We would rather have the things we wanted and wait then regret it afterwards.

:( agree with ladies, it's better to have the day you want & can afford even if you have to wait awhile.

I kind of agree here.. but it's also very easy to miss the boat so to speak, when you keep waiting for the perfect time. We did that - and then another baby on the way, then a bigger house, then a new car, another baby etc We're now over 30 years down the line and with youngest baby off at uni, we're finally getting around to it! haha I know we're a bit extreme but hopefully you get the point xx
