Since getting engaged to my OH in April I've been browsing hundreds of websites for dresses, shoes, venues, etc, etc.

We visited the Wedding Journal Show in Belfast on Sunday, and now the ball is really in motion. We've narrowed our venues down to two: Brownlow House in Lurgan or Edenmore Country Club in Magheralin. Both have fantistic all inclusive packages on offer, and both use suppliers that come highly recommended.

So... I have been in contact with both venues and have viewings booked for both on Saturday... Now I'm thinking OMG this is it!!!

In a way I'm really excited, but I'm also quite nervous.... Now I have to go up to my mums and tell the parents.... Wish me luck!

So, we were to go look at two potential venues on Saturday, but I was killed with a migraine. I decided to cancel the later appointment, but still went to the first (which would have been my first choice venue anyway).

    I was not disappointed!

The owner could not have been more helpful. He showed us where the ceremony would be held, then showed us the alternative room for the ceremony (both of which are fabulous BTW), then he showed us the room where the reception would be. He had some tables laid out specifically for us, he opened up the bar so that we could see. Then he showed us where the interior photographs would be taken and told us a little bit about the history of the place.

The Menus are fantastic, and the deals are unbelievable! He has such a good relationship with so many suppliers that the discounts he's able to get are out of this world!!! His suppliers have even used this venue for their own weddings!

I fell in love with the place.

To top it all off he told us that he wouldn't be happy for us to book our wedding until we saw the place completely set us, so asked if we could come back the night before a wedding later this month before making our mind up...

We're still going to go see the other place, but it would really need to be something special!

Sounds fab, I'd make sure you get these fab deals in writing though just so you don't get stung with a higher price later on when you go back :-)
