We're going to Hawaii and stopping off in LA for 3 nights en route home. We love the States and been loads and Hawaii has been a must go place for ages for us.
We're going for 2 and a half weeks and paying just shy of £6k for the two of us.

You can di it cheaper than us, it's expensive because we're going 5* for all the hotels we're staying in but I'm sure you'll get better quotes if you go 3* xxx

Oh dont get me wrong ! if we had that money Id have nooooo issue in paying that.. america is my one and only dream holiday.. there is nowhere else i am bothered about going to !
My absolute dream honeymoon would be 1 week ranching in California, 2weeks in Florida (inc Disney and Orlando studios) and 1 week in New York to end it.. That'd be a lotto win honeymoon though ! I added it all up once, first class flights, 5* apartment in NY, private villa in Florida and private cottage type thing in a Californian ranch and it was nearly £17,000 !!!!!
It'll prob be about £2000-£2500... Hopefully anyway.. Kinda hoping Nicky's dad will help us out a bit with the wedding or honeymoon, fingers crossed xxx

I got us a really good deal, for all that incl flights to Bahamas was £4,500 for both of us - and that's with upgraded flights. I booked it as soon as the flights were released though so its good to book early x

We're not paying for any upgraded flights, staying in economy.
You can do a lovely trip to Boston/Washington/New York I'm sure hun for a week on that budget, especially if you go for 3* xx

there are so many parts of the usa i'd love to visit, new york city, washington dc, orlando, miami, las vegas, los angeles, san fransisco, houston, tenneesee, grand canyon to name a few! only problem is i'm terrified of flying ideally i'd like to be able to save up enough to do it all in one go (so only have to do 1 set of long haul flights!) but i doubt that'd ever happen!

Well thats what i thought.. my friends have been for 2 weeks to New York during summer from uni, only having bar jobs.. The places they've stayed look lovely from the pics.. Just don't know how the heck they've afforded it :-( I just don't know where or when is the best time to look.. I type holidays to America or New York into g.oogle and it comes up with virgin travel or other well known companies, or companies that just don't look trustworthy :-/
Those are on my list too Nicole ! My prob is only financial though, I love flying and airports lol.. I'm one of those people who's holiday starts at the airport haha xxx

H2B and I love visiting the US, it's just brilliant. I'd recommend a trip to the Grand Canyon to anyone any day of the week, it was incredibly breathtaking! I do love the cities too xx

im a huge fan of USA .... we go to vegas every year and are lucky enough to now own 2 time share apartment ( got one for rent next year if anyone is interested!!) we have been to Hawaii twice
Ah Lala ! Lucky you !!!! Very very very jealous ! Vegas isn't in my top 5 list of USA places to go, but wouldn't pass up the chance if it was there ! xx

Orlando!!!! It is amazing!! Couldn't recommend it enough! We paid £400 for flights with Virgin and found cheap but amazing accommodation (I'll try and find the name) and pre bought our theme park tickets before we went for £200 each which was unlimited entry to all parks and water parks. When you're over there everything seems really cheap compared to here but be warned..I spent a fortune shopping as they have all the designer outlets near by! We also spent a few days in Miami but id avoid that if I were you, not like you'd expect it to be at all and very rough and dangerous. We stayed right on Miami Beach. We are considering going back to Orlando for our honeymoon as we are so on love with it! I'd move there if I could! But yea, id include that in your America trip for sure! Xxx

when i went to orlando (it was the flight back from there that kicked in my fear of flying!) we bought the flexi ticket its for busch gardens, sea world, islands of adventure, universal studios and a couple of other places but doesn't do disney. we didn't go disney in the end because the cheapest we could find was something like £200 for a 2 day pass to 1 of the disney parks ... i really wanted to go but my ex was a tight ass b*stard so we just stuck to the flexi ticket. i wana go back so bad! h2b and his fam keep trying to book a big family holiday back to florida i seriously need to sort this fear of flying! xx also busch gardens is in tampa bay not orlando but i think the coach out there was included in our ticket (was so long ago!) xx

yeh theres magic kingdom, epcot, animal kingdom, hollywood studios + also the water parks! i know theres an unlimited ticket to all parks that is about £500 per person, and as i said the cheapest we found was for a 3 day ticket to 1 park that was about £200 per person so if you look around there should be something available for any budget!

We got married in Vegas, had the wedding night plus one more night in Vegas then headed off on a Harley Davidson for 4 nights up to the Grand Canyon, then back to Vegas for 2 more nights before coming home. Absolutely loved it. We booked flights and Vegas accomodation through the company beginning with V. The Canyon road-trip motels were booked directly via the wonders of the interweb :)

Personally I think the Disney Parks are more for the kids and Busch Gardens/Universal etc are better for adults with better rides. If you're a Harry Potter fan you will love Islands of Adventure...amazing!! Disney is so much more expensive too!! Also make sure you pre-book animal interactions at Sea World to make sure you get in, they book up weeks in advance, we didnt know and were really dissapointed we didn't get to do it all! Xxx

Orlando is amazing. You CAN do it cheap, when we went we paid about £3k for all 3 of us (2 ad and 1 child), which included all the tickets to Disney, Universal, Busch Gardens, SeaWorld, Wet N Wild, hotel in Lake Buena Vista, transfers and flights with Virgin. (Granted, I had a bit of discount due to the fact I work for the company, but it was only like 10%)

Yay the other parks has roller coasters, h2b is sorting out to get the tickets for all the parks and that's, what we are going we paid for fights and hotel then asking for money for the honeymoon instead of presents and we going us that money to but tickets and trips we want do, at seaworld we hoping to do an trainer day so that swimming with dolphins and get go behind the scene and fellow worker for the day, feed fish it sound amazing to do, we get married kn June 14 them going on honeymoon sept 14 so we got time to sort tickets after wedding and how much we need to put to money we got at wedding to book anything we want to do,

Yes there are more roller coaster in the 2 Universal Parks and Busch Gardens than Disney. Each Disney park only has like 2 big roller coasters where as those have loads! OMG the HP bit is soooooo good! They have a huge Hogwarts and Diagon Alley exactly like in the books/film with all the shops selling all the wands, sweets etc. Make sure you have a butter beer too....so yummy! Best roller coasters id say are Incredible Hulk in the Islands of Adventure Park, Rip, Ride, Rockit in the main Universal Park and Sheikra in Busch Gardens (you should youtube some of the rides! Crazy!) They were also building new rides whilst we were there last year which I think are opening for this summer including a Transformers ride that looked good. I think you can tell how excited it makes me talking about it! Hehe. You can defo do it within your budget. We didn't book a package, we found it cheaper doing it all separately. We also booked car hire which I would strongly recommend over there xxx

Hi We too are doing Orlando for the honeymoon and cant wait we are goin with t city which is sister company for v, same flights hotel etc. but cheaper!!. I'm not a big coaster fan and to me islands of adventure was a waste of money last year boyfriend(now h2b) likes the hulk so we went for the day and to see Harry p which you need to of seen the films to really get it though liked the butter beer. With Disney you have a variety of rides/shows for all people and ages you can stay within Disney and get all transport to the different parks and you can get it for a good price too.

I've done one online, they don't go far enough ahead to be able to book ours but got quote for same time this year and same time next year on t bag and couple other sites suggested too and think t bag will end up being best.. Going to go through the thread again and write down all the suggested sites and keep an eye on them all :-)
I am extremely excited now that it could actually be possible :-) before, it was a dream ! Now it's actually possible ! :-D :-D We can only go for 2 weeks so shifting about might be a bit less relaxing than I'm hoping for lol.. Nicky wants to do the 5 hour flight to Orange County if we do go though ! So we'll maybe do that for last couple days xxx

That's great, see, all you need to knownis where to get the deals.
The last trip h2b and I did was to Boston and Washington, we did 5 nights in each place and was plenty of time. Ive done 2.5 weeks before and done San Fran, LA, Disney, vegas and grand canyon as well as trip through yellow stone park. With7the cities you only really need a max of 4 or 5 nights xxx
