Erm.......no!!!! If you want to wear a veil then wear one! I am going to be 32 when we get married in July and I am wearing one, and I would wear one if I was 40 too! I think our parents have a strong belief that if we get married more than once then we shouldn't wear a wedding dress and veil but maybe a nice hat and a dress suit! Do what you want to do, it is your day, not your mums, and you want to be able to look at all your photos and be happy with what you are wearing instead of conforming to what others said you should wear. x

I couldnt agree more, this is also my second marriage but to me feels like my first (as first one wasnt good I am trying to forget it happened lol) its my H2b first marriage though and so I think he should be allowed to have the full on experience we are both 42 and I am definitely wearing both a veil and a tiara. I dont think a bride looks like a bride without a veil and thats at any age. I wont be wearing it over my face though, that may be pushing it a little too far lol. Go for the full works you will only regret it iif you dont. x x x x

I am 40, and it's not my first marriage, and I will have both veil and tiara. Go for it if you want 'em!

I'm going to be almost 39 by the time we get married and I am definitely wearing a veil (not sure yet if I will have it covering my face). I was really worried about the style of dress I would wear, as I do on occasions seem to go for the 'mutton dressed as lamb options' I was kindly reminded by the lovely ladies on here that it's my wedding and I should look like a princess for at least one day, plus it's quite difficult to look like a tart as not many wedding dresses have everything hanging out (unless you look on the thread about ugly wedding dresses). I certainly would never think, she's wearing a veil at ie her age and it's her 2nd marriage. You will look stunning in what ever it is use choose and is more down to personal preference.

It doesn't matter how old you are you are a bride and deserve to have everything that makes you feel like a bride. It doesn't matter that you have been married before. This wedding is special to you and your h2b and you shouldn't not do things just because you have been married before. Treat the last marriage as a test run and this one as the real thing making sure that you get everything you want and how you want it. Why should you go for a second best wedding when you have the best husband?

Definitely not too old to wear a veil at all. I wore one at my wedding last July at the age of 39 (turned 40 later in year!). Go with what you wish and don't worry about age. xx
