lying here on my death bed... i have had the best thought ever (i blame the concocunion of pain killers)

after my attempt at the table centre pieces and the top table flowers that im made up with and so is h2b, would i be mad giving button holes and corsages and my bouquet ago aswell??

surely they cant be that hard... as i may have to go back to country baskets and get some bits and see if i can craft them... as i know exactly what i want for all of them in design and surely with a bit of tape and some floristry wire and my new found creativeness i can do it or am i really being stupid and its not as easy as it looks??

I think you should give it a go. Maybe start with buttonholes and see what you think. Nothing more fulfilling than knowing that the creations for your wedding day were all done by you. xxx

Can I still answer yes to the mad question tho? (-:

real or artifical. if real look at google for wiring techniques as different flowers have different ways of wiring & different gauge wires to support them. also if real , mist spray these put in a shoe box and put in the fridge. good luck :)

Although I have no experience with flowers (except killing cactuses) I don't think it would be too hard. My mum is a qualified flower arranger (has qualifications to teach) and I asked her how hard it would be to do all my flowers. She said not very, but wouldn't do them! I don't blame her, who wants to be worrying about the flowers when on their daughter's wedding day?

I very nearly did all my own flowers. The only reason I didn't was I spotted a deal on ebay which was pretty much exactly what I wanted, for a price I probably couldn't beat after buying all the bits to do it myself. Go for it :-)

Absolutely go for it, especially as you are going to use silk flowers, which means you don't have to have the stress of doing them all the day before the wedding! I thought you had to have a flower business to get flowers from where you get them, I tried to go on site but it asked for business name etc. How did you do it? I would love to do my own flowers. :) x

right ive been to country baskets and bought all the flowers i need to make a huge bouquet coursges for the mums and button holes for the men.. ive bought wire and tape and pearls and sparkly pins and ribbon... ive spent all night watching you tube videos on how to do them and seen what i want so im going in for the kill!!

i shall report back soon with piccies!! and be brutely honest once ive posted them ... :s

i got the card of my wedding planner im using hers... but all you do is just make it up ... they never check... i went today and yesterday and signed in as my wedding planner and they never checked.... i think a lady on here just made hers up and said she was an e bay seller...

i never thought id have silk flowers but i love the romance of them and keeping them after and the others i can hire out afterwards (buisness venture!!) xx

They look amazing, the buttonholes and your bouquet, do mine do mine! lol. Will have to try and see if I can get set up with them, really can't be paying a florist to do all my flowers, and would like to do them myself as I am very fussy! But again, they do look great, don't think you need to get professionals in, you could do it for a living! :)

dont think my fingers or the spare room could cope... it looks like a bomb has hit it!!

am not entirely happy with the bouquet am thinking it needs more flowers around the bottom maybe 2 more rows or am i just being far to picky

the buttonhole is exactly what h2b wants i hope ... cant wait for him to get home hope he likes it ... if he does then i will do smaller versions without the pearl loop for the groomsmen

and just 3 wrist coursages to do as well

but im having a rest my fingers are killing me ... its hard work!!

crocadillo, where abouts in manchester are you from? i figured you are when you mentioned country baskets! i live round the corner from there and just lately never seem to be out of the place!!!

i got all the bits and pieces from there for my invitations and have now introduced MIL to the place, which could turn out to be a bad move!
