ive always loved the colour fushia and stargazer lilies. i did want a june wedding as thats our anniversary, but because of the prices weve opted for sep/oct weddinng instead. my question is because this is autumn time of year, will my colour n chosen flowers look a bit odd?

Not at all and it sounds lovely. I don't think it matters in the slightest Only issue might be getting hold of stargazer lilies as they might be out of season so more expensive, or use fake ones (which might be better as lilies can be a bit whiffy, but that's just my opinion)

the only problem you would have is if your flowers arent in season, as laura mentions, as for the colour. Doesnt matter in the slightest

Also, quite often September or October is lovely and sunny - we were still in the beer gardens in late October last year! Xx

You can have any colours you want at any time of the year hun!
I'm having a colour scheme many would say are winter colours (red and gold) but I'm Chinese and a number of others I know who are Chinese (well one of the couple being Chinese) have had the same colour scheme in the middle of summer!

Married the love of my life on Saturday 11th May 2013 xxx
Had our dream perfect honeymoon in Hawaii!
I've been paranoid about my colour and theme going with the time of year of our wedding, We are having a cadbury's purple colour and also a star theme to out wedding as I love star gazing. We are getting married at the end of May, and I just keep wondering if the 2 together just seam christmasy. But we are going with it now and it's our day and what we really want and would not be happy with any other coulor or theme. I also really want a May wedding as it's the month me and H2B started going out with each other. We get married 2 days after we celebrate being together for 9 years. xx

I agree that that combo will work, I don't really see that colour being tied to a specific time of year x

totally agree, I wear what ever colour fits my mood, not the season, If the skies do turn out to be grey your pinks will be lovely bright and uplifting x

Thanks JadeH41. And I like what Almost Mrs B said about if it's a dull day your colour will brighten it up. Anyway, the weather sometimes is still really nice going into early october so just keep your fingers crossed that it still is come your wedding. I'm starting to worry as I only have just over 7 weeks till my wedding and it's not warming up yet. xx

Have whatever colours and flowers you wish. I got married in October and had purple and mint green as my colours with white Calla lilies.

MrsBroady2B cadbury purple is one of my 'maybe' colours, im thinking cadburys purple or a vivid bright purple colour.

Thanks JadeH41. I'm going to keep me fingers crossed. MrsMck2b, I love the colour purple it's one of my fave colours. As soon as me and H2B got engaged over 3 and 1/2 years I knew that was the colour. But now when we started booking stuff in this colour we get told how popular the colour is. I'm somebody that not likes wacky but does not like to do what everyone elce is doing so try to do it a little differently. I hate having to follow trends, if this makes sence. But it was the colour I dremt of so was not going to change it because everyone one elce was doing it. Got a little worried aswell with the bridesmaid dresses as we are having them made rather that buy from a shop and the seamstress told us she will struggle to get the colour with most people having it. xxx
