It's your day, if she was slow off the mark at booking a date then she only has herself to blame. As you say, she was looking at a summer date. Well unless you live in Austrailia March in not summer. I think she is just being silly and wants to prevent you from having your wedding there before her. She doesn't want it to look like she has copied you. I can see why you said you wouldn't book it as you were prob not expecting her to ask you to cancel the date you have penciled in and prob felt on the spot. I prob would have said the same thing if put on the spot like that as my mouth works before my brain kicks into gear and have said things in the past to save hurting others feelings before thinking of my own. Stick with the date you have until you have seen the venue. You are entitled to it as much as she would be if she had booked first. Good Luck xx

Geez what is her problem?! I have a friend getting married that has actually said I should consider the venue she is having as its such a good deal etc. What would it matter, your weddings would be so different as im sure your having different colours etc. Ive been to weddings at the same venue and they look so different as each individual puts there own stamp on them. I personally think she is being very cruel and vindictive, but you know what they say - Karma is a bitch and she will get what she deserves in the end ;) Chin up x

i would be upset to , as you said she would not be abe to ask a stranger ot cancel her date , and its your wedding and if you liked that venue then you should go for it , and it is hard as she is a friend but a friend should never ask a friend to do something like that she should uderstand, i hope you dont feel bad on the decision you will make in the end . and dont feel bad if you do book that venue as its your big day and friends should always stand by you , and if not her loss xx

Ugh I am disgusted by her behaviour! She really has a nerve to do this to a mate. Hun, book your day how you want. Forget trying to please anyone else. It's about you and your H2B so don't let anyone get in the way xx
