Hi, just wondering if anyone else is going against the 'traditional' bridal shoes? I bought mine a few month back and my parents (and everyone else is seems) absolutely hate them.
We're having a pretty traditional wedding (church, big ivory dress etc.) but just wanted to add something that was more 'me' into it. Both me and my fiance are pierced and tattooed, and they're more our personal style than wedding attire.
I'll add a photo to my page since i'm new to this and don't know how to do it on here yet.. x

Wow! They are amazing! Ignore everyone else, you have whatever you want! Personally I hate the traditional white or ivory shoes that you're meant to get for a wedding, i certainly won't be having them! I'm not really a mega shoe person so i'm just wearing a pair of nude peep toe platforms and a I fully intend to wear them again after! I'd wear them before to be honest but I know i'd scuff them up and my mom would pull a face. I think you're shoes are great. Much better than boring white ones! Well done you. xx

Your shoes are awesome! I love the back detail and the shark. A few brides on here have wedding shoes from Iron fist actually.

I have normal bridal shoes but I'm also getting a pair of blue and white polka dot wellies in case it rains. :)

Those are AMAZING! I love them and like all things to do with your wedding, do it your way. I hate tradition too, as you can tell from my pictures of stuff for the wedding.

thanks everyone, that makes me feel so much better knowing it's not just me :) and like i've been telling my mam, they'll be hidden under my dress for the most part -although i do intend on flashing them in most photos ;)
i'll definitely be wearing them again!
LegoBride, those wellies sound like a lovely touch (obviously you won't want it to rain on your day, but you'll be prepared if it does!)
they're not from the grainger market Jane, although i did see them in there the other week :) they're from Schuh, they were the first wedding related thing i bought!
i'll have a look through your photo Obsidian_Winter, i love all the personal touches to a big day! x

Why go for something thats traditional and not very you! Its your day! Wear what makes you comfortable and what you like! My folks said I should do for a traditional small heel white shoe! Ha! I went for bright blue sparkly high heels to match my H2B's blue suit and colours are my thing! Do what makes you happy and whats right for you!

I'm after flat shoes as my OH only same height as me anf im not into being taller than him... i want some crackers shoes, anything a bit random or odd... i love irregular choice shoes, or anything a bit different! They're under your dress so nobody sees them and surely its a bonus that you're not trying to fit into a bridal mould!

I'm after some white wellies too (our reception is going to be in a big field so it will probbaly rain out of spite lol) xx

I want to buy irregular choice shoes - dress is so long so most of the time you wont see them... Although I'd still want them if it was short! xx
