My oh has said to me that the seamstress should be coming to me instead of me going to her. I'm absolutely fine with going to see her. I will have to get a taxi each time as I don't drive, but that's not her fault. I just wanted to ask if she should be coming to see me? Her diary was almost full where she has other brides dresses to do.

I'm going to see my seamstress at her place, which I thought was quite common?

I thought it was too! A seamstress has so many brides to see, I would've thought the bride would go to them! He was so adamant I thought I'd ask! Thank you xx

If your dress is still in the shop and your using their seamstress then they normal do come to the shop/you.

If your dress isn't in the shop then you normally have to go to them as it's a lot easier for them that way and less risk of people seeing you in your dress who you don't want to see you in it before the day.

I feel like it is probably more common for you to go to them as they will have all their bits and pieces to hand. I'm sure you do probably come across the odd one that could come to you if it was really necessary but it sounds like normal to me

If a private seamstress you should go to them, if your dress is in a shop they should come to the shop.

I'm getting mine done by seamstress at the shop I bought from & have to go to store, however she is accommodating me as she has set hours for appointments in store and my work means I can't make them so she is coming specially for me (@ no extra charge)

But yeah it's normal to go to them unless they do home visits but that usually costs more (i.e. There travel costs & time as they can't see as many brides if they go to you)
