i have a 9 yr old and a 17 month and they get on great,we v decided we want one more and will start trying when the youngest is 2,as i like aving that alone time with them when they are little,if i was to concieve straight away the youngest would be going to nursery so id have some time with the baby then hopefully get the baby down for a nap for when she s home so can av some time with her and then when older one finishe dschool some time with her.thats how iv made it work with my two now so theres no jealousy.everyone gets alone time and we have family time.x

I have a 18 (boy), 13 (girl), 11 (boy) and 10 (boy).
Can't really pick the ideal age gap as a previous poster said you just make any age gap work. 10 years ago I wouldn't have recommended the 11 months and 1 week age gap between my youngest two but now its great!!!
I gave my partner, in April 2009, till end of april 2011 to decided if he wanted a child (he hasn't got one of his own) because i did not want a child when i'm older and he decided no so thats that. would have loved another girl :( x x

Ive got a 13 month age gap between my two which works great they play really good together, there was a year gap between me and my brother and we get on great my sister theres a 3 year gap and we used to fight like mad when we were young. were trying for a third but not having much luck though i did have the jab when she was little and that can mess you up for over a year wish i didnt have it know, shes 1 1/2 now.

i dont think that an age gap really matters, me and my brother are 10 years apart and although he was older than me we had a brill childhood..i loved having an older brother..he always played with me and we never used to fight

my oldest is 4 in june and youngest is 1 in september. i didnt want a big age gap between my children. even though me and h2b were only together for 4 months we new the time was right for us to have a child (my 2nd his 1st) were going to start trying for our last one when youngest is 3 so she'll be about 4 when the baby is born.

Hi i only have 1 little girl at the moment she has just turned one. Me and h2b are guna try for another when she is about 3, we dont want a big gap between them either and we said at least when she is 3 whe will be more aware of whats happening and she will hopefully be past the 'dreaded terible twos' lol. There is 3 years between me and my older sister and we get along fine but there is 12 years between me and my younger sister and i moved out before she was 9 so didnt get to spend that much time with her. it all depends on when it feels right for you and h2b. luv vicki x x

2to 3 years is nice but u never know what mother nature might wants for the both of u :) sometimes bigger gaps could be nice to at least u would have someone to look after the little one a bit :D

My son is 18 next January, and I'll be 40 the same month - but h2b and me have talked and said once my birthday is over we're thinking of trying for a baby so the age difference between my son and any baby we have will be 18 going on 19 years.

i have 22 months between my older two girls and they were fab growing up together they were able to play with each other and it was lovely, then 7 years later i had my 3rd but she does demand more from me as the older two are a bit too old and dont want to play with her so at times its like shes a only child my h2b keeps saying he wants another baby but i dont want anymore now i had my first really young and now i want time for me eventually and some sleep my girls dont seem to like sleep lol xxx

i have 2 children and theres 1 year 1 month and 3 days between them if monkey wasnt late it would of been 1yr, 1month, 1day!! lol the amount of people that ask if they are twins coz they look idenital and they are the same height!! lol xxx

We had decided to wait till july/september to start trying for a baby but im worried that as we want to have a baby in june july time then i would have to be pregnant in sept but im worried that we cant get pregnant then so we've started trying now!!! Im so excited but super scared to try and juggle being pregnant and having my little girl as well

I have a 4 year old (5 in december) didnt plan on as big of an age gap as this 2-3years max but things never go to plan!
Me and H2B are trying for a second but Im thinking of taking a break come september if Im not pregnant as dont want to be pregnant for our wedding next year and I want to have enough time afterwards to lose any baby weight thats left, This will mean at least a 6year age gap though :O
