I am joining an aerobics class on Thursday with my mum as we both want to lose weight before my big day. We have never done aerobics before but have heard it can be quite a fun workout. Can anyone tell me what kind of thing you do in the classes and if it will be good for weight loss.

The aerobics classes that I've been to before tend to be quite fast paced routines that you repeat several times throughout the class but you're always talked through and the instructor does it too so you can copy it! In my opinion they are really good for losing weight as your heart rate really increases and you sweat loads! Make sure you've got a bottle of water!

I think it depends on the person doing them. I used to go to one who was fab and it was a really good workout, however I then went to other ones and they were not so good. I currently go to a keep fit which is supposed to be equivalent to 6 aerobic/zumba classes in one. It's hard work. Just remember though, don't go by your weight, go by how your clothes fit you as muscle is heavier than fat. Good luck.
