our hotel has given us a discount code for our guests to use for booking their rooms the night of the wedding. i've just found out however that if our guests book online that they get the bed and breakfast for £68 instead of £80. what should i do? some of our guests have already booked rooms over the phone and paid the £80 and some of them booked online and got the cheaper option.

I would explain this to the hotel and tell them that some people have already booked, they might let you have the discount as goodwill for the other guests, worth asking! Good luck!

That's cheeky!
Would guests lose any money if they cancelled and then re-booked online? If not that might be the simplest solution if not too many have booked already. Otherwise I would be asking the hotel to reduce the charge for all guests to £68.

id complain to the hotel...they tell you its a discount code so your getting a discounted rate yet normal customers get a better discounted rate online! tell them u think its a disgrace n youll prob get an even better discount xx
I think the venue were just trying to make money but making it sound appealing. Every time you say wedding anywhere the price goes up, and they just weren't going to tell you it is cheaper to book online. Very sneaky but not sure there is anything you can do except bring it up with them and say you aren't very happy at your guests having to pay over the odds. They may reduce it, after all they want to keep your wedding with them. x
