Im from Aberdeen getting married in the wee village i grew up in which is Keig.
I jad a look round meldrum house for a reception venue and it is gorgeous. Just need to see about pennies before booking a date.
I think we are going to go for something closer to keig like a hall or maybe Castle Forbes for pics and reception venue. My.new last name will be Forbes so I think it would be kinda nice to be married where i grew up and then having the place having something to do with my new last name hee hee

I did enjoy it.

They were married outside and it was a beautiful day, (Heels not so good in the grass though)

My H2B was only going to the evening and got sozzled before hand so never made it( this was when he was still drinking) I think that was my only disappointment but that was personal to me rather than anything to do with the hotel lol.

There is a lovely view of Bennachie. If i remember correctly our room was the Bennachie one.

Rooms are lovely and the room where we got ready was great and we could look out at the grass where all the guests were getting seated!!

I am using Janie Barclay too! She is lovely.
I have not heard of that hotel.
Using Sarah Lakin for cars and flowers.

Oh i fowand a photograpgher down beside Dundee who said she'd come up to do our Photos and she is alsot cheaper then up here. Shes sdphotography i like her work and is very resonable in price.
Coverage from bridal preparations to first dance (around 9 hours) would be £920, bridal preperation until speeches (around 7 hours) would be £770 and for bridal preparations until group variation photos (around 4.5 hours) would be £570 but each of these prices would include ALL the following:

-Pre wedding consultation (on the phone or in person)-
-Unlimited shooting during allocated time-
-CD of high resolution images-
-Travel costs for us-
-2 photographers (my hubby and I)-
-A personalised and hand made CD sleeve (with all wedding decorations and colours in mind)-
-Four free 9"x6" lustre prints of your choice-
-All editing time (including airbrushing, if specified in advance)
-Post wedding photo preview (3 - 5 weeks following your wedding date)

Wow think nearly all of us are using Janie :) She is lovely and will do a disc only package if your on a budget

Clarabella, doubletrees do a really good package!You could also look at holiday inn at Westhill or Palm court which are reasonably priced - pittodrie stadium ok 2 if your h2b is an aberdeen fan

I am getting married at Thainstone house Hotel 10/11/12. I think I have most things organised apart from flowers and wedding rings. Never been so organised in my life. Keep thinking that there must be something I have forgotten, but keep writing lists and other than the flowers and rings the only other thing i can come up with is the gifts for MOB, MOG, FG, BMaid, BMan. x

I live in Banchory and the florist im using is in Banchory. There are 2 in the village. 1 of the shops is quite flashy and very expensive. I found that they wanted to tell me what I should be having and were not listening to me. The other florist is an older lady who was so accommodating. Absolutely fantastic and a snip of the price. She runs(maybe owns) the place called BLOOMS. Its on 3 station road banchory. I dont know if this will be of any help to you. Where in Banchory are you getting married?

Think that sounds about average price for what your getting but I would get a few more prices - I'v e had £100 diffence between some of them x
