There are so many people out there who will tell you
    what you can't do.
What you have to do is turn around and say, "watch me"!!

I'm having the same trouble, been on SW since end May and as of last week was the same weight as when I started! Sadly more and more ppl are telling me exercise is the key, which I do none of - an uncle who's a sports therapist told me at the weekend to go for a lunchtime walk, 20 mins out, 20 mins back, ideally 30 but 20 is just enough to kickstart the fatburning process - here's hoping!

I know this sounds silly but i was meant to get married in may so at new year I set a resolution not to eat chocolate and crisps etc I dropped two dress sizrs. Another way is to just have one cube of chocolate or you fave thing a day. Or plate your dinner on a child's plate thus cutting your portion size down.

Hey im going to be brutally honest please dont hate me - the only gaurunteed way to lose weight is to consume less calories and excersise more - ive been studying excerise and nutrition for the past 2 years and belive me ive tried many different quick fix diets - and it always come down to lifestyle - im not saying that a burst of slim fast 3 weeks before the wedding wont help to lose thoses extra few pounds but in the long term and if your got like 8 months to go you will easily lose weight - be really stirct only consume 1500 calories a day so make sure you have a good breakfast nothing fancy a health ceral will do, fruit and nuts ofr snakcs have your carbs at lunch e.g. pasta, potatoes and then for dinner have lots of veg with chickien or fish drink lots of water to. - dont over complicate it even if your mega busy following this plan will definatly help you lose weight and if you dont then i honestly will be totaly shocked . also you dont need to be nasty to yourself treat yourself maybe say on a saturday im going to hace a pizza and some chococlate cake and then all throught the week you can follow your food plan and thinkg omg on saturday im gonna have a lovely bit of pizza and cake. with the excersise if you dont like hard core circuit classes just try and do 30 mins everyday - if you have time to do hardcore classes or have enough time to spend an hour in the gym everyday then thats even better - but give yourself 30 mins everyday do go for a job do some toning you can learn how to do correct sit ups and press ups online so if you got kids you can do it all from home - take kids with you if you have them they could go on their bikes while you do a jog. its all about looking at things positivly not even thinking omg i must loose weight but just about making better choices. obviously you do want to lose weight so weight your self at the start and then weight yourself once a week be logical about it noone ever losses loads of weight in the first week, give it some time if you dont know any changes then obviously you need to up the excersise- i must stress though food is very important 1500 claories is the absolute minimum dont ever have any less......i hope this helps and i know its a bit long winded but i know you can do it!!!!!!!

i have been doing a version of slimfast - its a tesco own bran and tastes ok actually!! and its £3 (something) for 6 days worth of meals one for breakkie and one for lunch (Bargin!)

You have to be strict with your self i have NO more than 1200 calories a day - remember even tea has calories!!

i am averaging a couple of pounds a week loss which does not sound a lot but it all adds up in the end.

exersize does not have to be all red faced in the gym - going for a swim for 10 mins will burn over 130 calories

i am also using an app call my fitness pal its brilliant you can keep track of food and exersize and will also record your weight of you

    hope this helps

...exercise before eating to get your metabolism started, drink lots of water (most of the time when we think we're hungry we're actually thirsty), smaller portions.

If you don't like exercising, before eating put on some of your favourite music and have a stupid dance....

I lost over 3 stones last year. I started by doing All About W8, a complete meal replacement plan. The shakes and packs were pretty good... And I managed to stick with it for around six weeks, and lost 2 stones. The other stone and something I did through Slimming World.

TBH, I needed to do something like All About W8 to give me that kick start. Once I saw the weight coming off I WANTED to keep going!

I also use MyFitnessPal. It's a great resource for all things fitness and nutrition. The forums are great too, plenty of people on there to give advice.

Don't stress too much about loosing weight, it won't help your weight loss at all.
When I first brought my dress last year I started dieting, tried everything under the sun to loose weight but I never, if anything I gained and I was petrified about my dress fitting, I just thought I'd look vile and I hate looking at myself but yesterday I had my first dress fitting and my dress was too big, not too small like I was thinking and I looked and felt amazing. I don't think it matters what size you are, as soon as you put your dress on you will feel incredible so if you don't loose the weight you want to loose don't be so hard on yourself. You are still going to look incredible on your wedding day xx

ive been trying to lose weight since may, been going to the gym 4/5 times a week, swimming 5 times a week and also have started going to boxercise and aquarobics, ive only managed to shift 1 stone since may so i know how frustrating it is to be doing so much but lose so little. i was considering slim fast but read somewhere on here that once u stop drinkin the shakes and eat normal food u gain the weight twice as fast so i steered well cler of that. im rubbish with diets so im trying to make my meals smaller and it is slowly making a difference. good luck with your weight loss and remember ur not alone lol

I have been on Slimming World for 3 months - I lost over a stone but then put half back on when I went on holiday - I'm back to where I was before eating too much cheese and drinking too much wine in France - the thing I like about it is that it's healthy, teaches you new meals and helps you change your bad habbits (like 15+ cups of coffee a day).

I have also put a picture of a mahoosive bride on my desk at work with the words "I will not look like this on my wedding day" - seems to be helping when the cakes arrive daily in our office :)

    Good luck xx
