I found the perfect dress....but could only please 4 out of 5 bridesmaids with it....I have now found an even better dress at a staggeringly cheap price that is just too good to be true and now all but a different one of bridesmaids doesn't like it!!!! Should I put my foot down and say they have to where what I want???? What have you lot done if you have been in this situation??? xxx

Im dreading this scenario and i only have 2 bridesmaids!! trouble is their both stubborn as a mule and unmovable
Couldnt you just get them to vote on which they like and the dress with most votes wins, that way its fair
OR pic your fav and tell them to like it or lump it

its your wedding, your desicion. the bridesmaids should have some input obviously but its hard to please everyone. if she really hates it and would feel awful wearing it id say find another. but if its just a case of her being a bit picky then tell her to bog off. my sister is being really picky with dresses and shes pregnant so im mega struggling to find something. she wants floor length, ive said knee length or nothing! x

Dont give them a choice, its your day. I chose my bridesmaids dresses. I text the girls the measurements and asked them what size to get them. They really like them though x

Its a hard one, I wanted my BM's to be comfortable in them so gave them the choice, i also wanted them to get a dress that they could use again rather then spendng a lot of dosh on a dress that will collect dust afterward. Luckly they all agreed on the dress that i found for them. Its completely your choice hun. If you feel that they are mucking you about then put your foot down.... good luck! x x

I just chose there dresses and never got there opinion I think you'll never win everyone round and the only have to wear it for one day and if they love you then they'd do it and not moan! I do agree with Relf as well maybe give then a choice out of the two majority vote wins? hope you get what you want xxx

Mine have been really good and said they would wear whatever I chose but I wanted them to be happy and luckily they all liked what I had chosen!! At the end of the day hun it is your day and you are never going to please everyone!

I think you should just please yourself, at the end of day you need to love and feel comfortable in your dress so perhaps heed their advice but don't let that put you off if you know thats the dress you want! x x x

I had this problem 2 out of three liked it but other didn't, so i was like bridezilla and said its my day i like it and if you don't wear it then tell me now and i will only order two i know it was mean but she isn't even a close friend, shes my brothers new girlfriend.

LOL, poor you! Tell them its tough, its your day! I remember being a bridesmaid and having to wear a godawful peach flowery dress with a high collar and long sleeves, it haunts me to this day! But its what the bride wanted so I smiled a lot and put up with it! I'm lucky that my two girls are happy with my style/colour choices, its a little tricky as one has very red (natural) hair and the other is blonde and usually wears only pink! As red head looks lovely in green that is the way we are going.

I have found out it's the colour she is not too keen on...I have said that I can't really change that!!! I am going to get H2B's aunt to make the 4 dresses ask what style everyone wants and then they can all have what they want in my chosen colour scheme...they all seem fine with that so at least that's that sorted! My bridesmaids are so different in what they like that I have basically said they can choose a style they like, and I will say yes or no. I am also letting them have a pretty free reight with colour...but that is because we have no specific colour theme. We are having quite a mixed theme - more to suit our personalities than anything. I want my bridesmaids to be happy and comfortable in what they wear; it's a long day for them too! And they're going to have to be comfortable to be at their best :)
If they are being awquard though, you deffo have the right to put your foot down. I would. There's only so much leniance (spell?!) you can give......you have other things to stress and worry about too lol!!

Ohh, I'm dreading this.. I Think you should do the majority vote thing, and then just tell the bridesmaid that she's out-numbered and if she doesn't like it then she just wont be a bridesmaid.. It's not mean.. Cause you can't please everyone! My BMs I have 2 Blondes 1 Red head 2 Brunettes and 1 with black hair.. And they all range in height from 4' - 5'7".. And weight from a size 6-8, to a size 16+.. Eek..Gunna be a pain in the bum.. I've told them If I wear Pink (which it looks like i'm gunna) then they're wearing lilac, and If I wear Ivory, then they're wearing Pink! :P They've all said ok. And when it's closer to my wedding day then we'll go and have a look I have a couple of ideas at really cheap prices (About £50 each) and some slightly more expensive ones.. But we're not worried about cost, if we see one that's nicer, but wont outshine me, then they can have that one.

my moh hit the nail on the head when she told me to stop worrying about evryone elso and make sure i'm happy, she said it was an honour to be asked to be a bridesmaid and she would walk down the aisle in a bin bag if i asked her too :-)

Aww Stacey that's lovely of her, I think My BMs are going to be more like that to be honest, they're all lovely and great friends (one of the reasons I didn't pick sisters) and they've all agreed with my colours for them and they know what type of style I've been looking at, so, fingers crossed, it's easier than expected :P x

Hey hun yo choose what you like. I have a similar problem but have decided to let 1 bridesmaid choose what she likes and told the other she will wear what she is given. I obviously got the final say on the dress which have now been ordered as we both agreed that we like them. x x x x

I understand they aren't trying to be nasty and I would hate them to feel uncomfortable in what they were wearing...but yeah I agree... I hated the dress I had to wear at my Brother's wedding and said nothing just understood it's what she wanted!! It's all sorted now..so yay and thanks girls xxx
